Hi Imgur, I’m a playwright

Hello lovely imgurians. This is a first for me, so be gentle.

I’m a playwright in Orlando FL, and this year for Independence Day, I am presenting my original piece entitled The Foreplay: An Exploration of the Birth of Our Nation. I opened it at the Orlando Fringe Festival two years ago to pretty great crowds, and now I’m bringing it back for two reasons: to raise some money to travel the show to the Kansas City fringe festival (KC imgurians, take note, we’ll be there late July!) and to prove to myself that I can produce my own original work outside of a festival.

Here’s a description of the show:

When building a brand new baby country, what decisions must be made? Join American Forefathers Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and George Mason as they hilariously create the Bill of Rights. Using modern language and witty comparisons to today’s most pressing issues, The Foreplay wisecracks its way through the messy birth of the nation to make us realize how far we’ve come... or not. Packed with hilarious historical inaccuracy, this play will give you a whole new perspective on the first ten amendments.

If you’re in Orlando or the central Florida area, and looking to celebrate Independence Day in a different way, and love Murica in all its messy stupid glory, come down to The Venue June 30th and July 1st and support original, local theater and a guy who loves playwrighting and Imgur very much. It’s only an hour long and there’s a bar at the venue!
