I don’t know what or where. I’m looking for that answer myself. But I don’t say stand and fight as an outside observer ignorant of the logistics and geography of our nation. I say it as an ally, a brother, standing beside you. I have wanted to just get out as well. Part of me still does. But I also realize that we can’t resist if we aren’t around. And that’s what any fascist wants. They want any resistance to disappear. I refuse to give them what they want. It’s not much but a place to start.

I realize my initial comment could come across as flippant or trite. And it’s difficult to convey the spirit that I intended. I recognize your feelings of helplessness. I feel cornered and (a little guilty “they” haven’t found me yet.) But, if I can stop the desire to run, and instead prepare for what’s coming at me. I stand a chance of doing some good. If we are frantically looking for a way out, it’s hard to see others that we could help. Being ready to resist is resisting.

I've decided to start getting involved in local politics, there's a progressive caucus here, I've joined it, we successfully managed to get most of the party leadership in this area to go progressive and are pushing to capture seats in previously historically uncontested elections. It's not glamorous and it won't make the front page anytime soon, but we are gunning to take over the party and we're putting in the work to make it happen. I'd recommend looking at your local progressive org yourself
