I’m from a very small, very warm country. One of the police dogs died over a weekend from dehydration. Fkn officer in charge left his shift and never had a second thought about it. We’re trying to get them charged but this small country is also on the corrupt side.

On top of that, legally police dogs on duty are considered officers on duty. If a police dog bites someone, and they hit it trying to get it off of them, it's considered assault of a police officer.
But apparently letting a fellow officer die because you confined them until they died of dehydration isn't illegal.

IKR! Huge uproar but unfortunately these places do not place much value in animals. They do not see them as members of the family as they should be.
Do not search for animal treatment/cruelty in any Caribbean country. Genuinely shocking. We are trying to get laws in place for animal cruelty. We got rid of dog fighting not that long ago.
But only recently they found a cock fighting ring.
