It's all fun and games until the chameleon decides that it's favorite place to hang out is on your hair that's always tied up in a bun..... And then he spots a fly. True story.

Also if you see one of these guys in the wild in Hawaii and you want one as a pet? Grab the first one you see. They're not native, they're escaped housepets, you'll be doing the environment a favor.

Badass lil guy. Don't let your insectivores eat bugs around the house though if you use any sort of insecticides or have neighbors that do.

Good fuckin' job Margarette.

My luck it would miss and just knock the spider down onto my face lol

I do want a Chameleon but I feel it's going to take a lot of reading up to make sure it's happy, plus I'd insist on the absolute best enclosure possible for it which would likely cost an absolute fortune. I'd give it an entire room to itself if that was where it was happiest.

Stupid ass. Spiders are good for your house… smh.

He's even holding it like a gun

I would not recommend buying a chameleon unless you want to spend a LOT of money on a fragile and angry animal

I was practising martial arts in the garden and a spider jumped on to my face

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why spiders? They are even more cool than chameleons.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friends got a chameleon, and then they got a box of live bugs to feed him, and then they dropped the box of live bugs and then they had locusts living in their house for ages and then finally the last one died or left and then they dropped another box but this time it was crickets, which were easier to kill but much louder so at least the third time they dropped a box of live insects they'd learned that lesson.

That spider experienced some Karma.

So... first off, mean to spiders. Second, NEVER feed your pets wild food. They often have parasites and you do not wanna pass that to your pet--they can also be tainted by ex. pesticides or other chemicals.

Good job Margaret.

Are there any spiders that when eaten could cause a lizard problems? Like toxic?

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Any spider that can harm humans can be a problem for chameleons. They can bite the tongue and the chameleon could become ill, even seriously close to the mortal coil release kind of ill. Also, the animal could become sick because the spider might have pesticides on it, and even a small amount could harm the lizard.

I wondered about the biting thing

In some countries, geckos are used specifically to do this.

The Yapese(sp?) wouldn't move into a new house until the geckos moved in first. Source: my dad worked in the Peace Corp on Yap during the Vietnam war.

I have DOZENS of Mediterranean House Geckos (Geckoes?) living in my wall in coastal South Carolina and I do not get bugs in the house anymore.

I was half sure that this was going to be a shock video where the cat drops a huge bug towards the camera

I tried this with my Orange and he was just confused as to why I was lifting him so high and if I could please not do that lol

I need this guy to train my furry dumbasses. They do NOT understand the assignment.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Is the assignment screaming?

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My furry dumbasses taught my malamute x lab to catch and eat bugs. She then would catch june bugs out of the air, bring them in, play with them and then eat them. Very important to play with them first. Our current barn/house cat is trying to teach our mini American shepherd to kill and eat mice by bringing her live mice and dropping them in front of her. She’s a slow learner.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My cat lets me catch the mosquitos - for her to eat. But if i am too slow for her? She does it herself, telling me with her eyes "that was too slow human, next time you disappoint me, i will catch and eat YOU."

1 year ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

my dogs eat them out of the air

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And now? I live in fear, with a fly swatter mounted on a stick and a fly screen on my window, just to be a little bit safer. Snack sacrifices to my feline overlord are still working, no more incidents happened since then, i am safe, for the moment (blinking "help" with my eyes)

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Honestly that is badass, my two cats are the polar opposite. They will gather to watch the helpless insect while sprawled out on the floor, then they might tap it with their paw lazily a few times, perhaps follow it around and then lose sight of it and desperately try to find it again, usually with no luck.

Spiders eats bugs, though

"Blue is a color too." Says someone crashing in with an entirely irrelevant remark.

I have a spider living just up and to the left of my shower, it hasn't moved from there the entire time and has caught like 15 flies so far, so it's paid it's rent as far as I'm concerned and happy for it to keep doing it's thing.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Living in a vaguely modern house, I don't get many bugs. Spiders are likely to go hungry.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mine just slowly lower themselves on a string of web down in front of my face.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Thailand it’s considered bad luck to kill spiders in your home since the Thai see them as ‘the weavers’

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have a standing agreement with spiders. They are fine to exist as long as they don't bite me, hatch a brood in my bedroom, Or sit on top of my towel when I'm getting out of the shower. That last was a hastily scribbled addendum after.... an incident ...

I was a peacful man once, but the little ones in my life have constricted me, I am their warrior!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

😂

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I leave the spiders alone, except when stuff like.... my wife getting g a huge nasty bite on her shoulder, or my then 8 year old getting one on his, uh, pecker. Then I cleanse the bedrooms. In the basement they're allowed nearly free reign. If they crawl on me or mine, or come down from the ceiling between me & the NES TV, then death.

I say similar things to wasps as I fish them out of my bird bath before they drown. I know they are valuable pollinators and part of the web of life etc but they don’t have to be such rage filled assholes about it.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I leave all living things alone, except for wasps. Spiders, snakes, lizards, scorpions... I leave them alone. But wasps can fucking go to hell, and I will gladly send them there.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If they are found, death for me. I've had TWO separate instances of spiders just gliding down on a web to land on my head. I can't be in the same room as one without feeling my skin crawl

Spiders are bugs tho

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No they aren't, bugs have 6 legs. Arachnids have 8.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Arachnids have 8 legs. Insects have 6. Buggy things are bugs.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yall don't realize, no one cares that spiders aren't insects. The whole world is still gonna call them bugs.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So do chameleons

1 year ago | Likes 190 Dislikes 1

Chameleons are far less terrifying than spiders tho. (With the exception being jumping spiders) and chameleons got them widdle mitts too!

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So I should get a spider and a chameleon!

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You probably have spiders already

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They are indeed the pet everone has the pleasure of looking out for before Showering.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Spiders do it without human being interaction.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Technically so do chameleons... This one is just getting a little boost

If a murderer kills a murderer then there ARE fewer murderers.

(By murderers I mean bug murderers, in a good way).

While we’re on the topic of murder: meat is NOT murder. It’s the product of murder. Fix your messaging, vegans.
