Maybe he was just transferring from a smelter to a casting plant nearby? I know they are doing that with some plants here in the US

Im sure they know what they are doing its just counter to what common sense says should be done I wanna know why they are doing it this way

Reheat=more costs. The containers are so big and isolated that you need to melt the metal once

I doubt that would be more efficient to continuously heat the metal during transportation besides aluminum is ductile so the only reason 1/2

It would need to be molten and not precast into blanks would be if they were doing casting but they would remelt it anyways to assure purity

There's no continuous heating during the transportation, it remains liquid until destination (usually not so far from foundry)

You have literally tons of metal, the amount of heat inside is enormous and the dispersion limited by the isolation of the container
