Who are these doctors?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tennant the best.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Loved Eccleston as the Doctor, was the first Doctor for me. Really good in the Episode the Empty Child. Are you my mummy?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Goddammit still mad at Moffat for failing a brilliant actor like Capaldi as epically as he did.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Same!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I swear I saw Capaldi in Edinburgh last week, or at least someone who looks remarkably similar.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We did the Eat/Walk Edinburgh tour two weeks ago and our guide looked exactly like Capaldi, so I wouldn't be surprised.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thought the first guy was Ed O'Neill and I was confused

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are all great! My first Doctor ...http://imgur.com/MWKWAdz

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Waiting for the anouncement of the doctor to follow Capaldi.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*Waiting intensifies*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eccleston was my favorite doctor. Too bad he was only there for one season.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I think he was a great Doctor. Deserved more than 1 season, at least.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I still can't not see Capaldi as Malcolm Tucker

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Malcolm Fucking Tucker

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

He's fucking amazing at swearing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And right now, someone is also just so happy for exactly that reason.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No Doctor post-Sylvester McCoy is canon.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

k

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Uh huh...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eccleston...it didn't mean jack to me as I am an uptight prig and was only going to phone it in anyhow

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 12

If you're gonna call someone a prick at least spell it right.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The word is prig and it is correctly spelled, but hey thanks for playing. Try googling it and you might learn something

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, what do you know, you're correct. I have genuinely never heard that word before.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I met eccleston yesterday. He was drinking in the pub i work in in the Lake District. He was really nice. Most famous person i ever met

9 years ago | Likes 140 Dislikes 2

i lub him

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Noiiice

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's my second favourite lancastrian actor, behind Ian McKellen and ahead of Ian McShane

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What pub do you work in?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

dog and gun, if you know it. all the folks working on 'the a word' drink there most nights, except the famous ones

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In Keswick?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you've heard of keswick? another cumbrian!? i didnt think they existed! crap, now i'm afraid i'm gonna get stalked and murdered

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't worry I'm not a stalker haha but I am Cumbrian

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lucky he is my favorite doctor

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I remember seeing him on tv, that was my first NEW dr who experience. You can't take that "are you my mummy" experience away, ever.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Everytime I see Capaldi I think of Sid's dad

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Particularly the writer - Russel T. Davies" so telling...

9 years ago | Likes 348 Dislikes 1

Wasn't it a falling out between the two that made Eccleston so angry he wouldn't come back for the 50th anniversary? That's even sadder now.

9 years ago | Likes 154 Dislikes 2

Thanks. I did find and link to that later and correct myself but it's buried under several comments I guess.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't Capaldi now leaving for similar reasons?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

① No, he left because of a couple of people, most specifically Keith Boak and Phil Collinson who bullied people on set. That & his dad died.

9 years ago | Likes 135 Dislikes 0

Interesting, of always heard he didn't get along with producers I assumed it was Davies. Loved his doctor, sorry he hasn't come back.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks. I did wid up finding the article about the "senior people." Sad that a show largely about radical compassion is headed by dickheads.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Boak wasn't asked back after shooting his first block, RTD cracked down on mistreatment for series 2, and Collinson left after series 4.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thanks again. I tend to pay more attention to showrunners than directors on TV unless it's somebody like the Russos who really stand out.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

② He didn't do the 50th because he said a provisional yes if he could see a script and then they didn't contact him again for months.

9 years ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 0

③ He felt he was being fucked around and couldn't keep his diary open for them forever, so he took on other work.

9 years ago | Likes 117 Dislikes 1

④ They did the same to Tennant, and he could only do it because he'd got the time booked off anyway as his wife was due to give birth.

9 years ago | Likes 120 Dislikes 0

From what I heard, he only did one season because he didn't want to be "typecast" as the doctor.

9 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 2

I assume you also think your aged dog is enjoying the good life on a farm upstate.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 31

That's a pretty shitty pun

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

it isn't a shitty pun. i think it's a faecetious retort. this was a shitty pun.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Looked it up. He said he hated the culture that'd developed & didn't get along with the "senior people." Presumably whoever was over Davies?

9 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

Eccleston's doctor gets a bad rap sometimes. I think that's bull, he was one of the best actors to ever grace the role. Loved his portrayal

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

That's what production said after he left. He himself said he hated the culture on set.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Telling of?

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

He's considered one of the best writers.

9 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 5

Oh, yes. Much better than Moffat any day.

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 4

MRW I hear something so stupid v

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 11

Not the bees no not the bees

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Moffat was good at writing individual episodes, not as good at running the show.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Dr. Who still sucked

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 51

Thanks for your opinion!

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 5

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Moffat is great at real-life situations taken to ridiculous levels (Coupling) not so great at space-fantasy, imo

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Should be the next doctor.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

That is not a picture of Amanda Tapping.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But... He was the master, he can't...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As the Doctor can "Choose" faces, he choose his current one to remind himself to fight and save lives

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Doctor gave out a new name, Bazil. The English meaning of Bazil is: Royal; kingly. No wonder the Master is fixated on him.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There will only ever be one TRUE Doctor Who for me : http://imgur.com/Ee5oDHc

Say hello to the sofa of reasonable comfort.

Welp, that surprised me. Take your upvote ... and my agreement.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Doctor Who", not just Doctor...your loyalty is in question here

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

He will forever be my doctor

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What! Totally forgot watching this later.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

thanx

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

doot

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I just started watching doctor who and only about two episodes in. It just seems a bit boring. Is there a reason to continue?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

i agree that the first few episodes seem a bit boring, but it gets so much better, trust me

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

When I'm trying to get people into Doctor Who, I tell them to start at S5E1. Only other season start with fresh Doctor, fresh companion. (1)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And 1st episode has a part that shows the face of every single previous Doctor. And 2nd episode has a great insight into Doctor's character.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where are you starting from?

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

The first season is hard to get into. If you're not immediately into it, watch "The Girl in the Fireplace." That will make you want more.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You're thinking of season 27.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're starting with Eccleston keep in mind they were bringing the show back after not being on air for ages. So it took a while to...

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

get things going.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yoi'll get more engaged with Tennant years. But Empty Child and Dalek are good from the first one. If you want a hard hitter: Don't Blink.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I actually watched the whole season with Eccleston but couldn't get through ep 2 of Tennant.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I started from the first episode. But thanks for the advices

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like, "An Unearthly Child"? Black-and-white? William Hartnell as the Doctor?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Likely not as theres no streaming for the old series and the episodes available on amazon are spotty at best. The literally go from 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 unearthly child to spearhead from space to axos its awful.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

S/he could be borrowing from a friend? Public libraries carry stuff like that, too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Huh never thought of the library. Point taken
