1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats obviously been lubed the fuck up

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

What gave it away? The visible grease all over the top of the pole?

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Looks like a shit way to die 🫡

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The pole is greased

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It seems the Comunitat Valenciana's flag, in Spain. Another of our funny and painless traditions!

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yep, I noticed too. Can confirm it looks like the Valencian flag.

Faceplants into the ramp ...

1 year ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I wouldn’t even make it to the ramp

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Why not just walk. Balance will improve. Might have a better chance.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This has been done in Triana, Seville, for at least a couple of centuries. We call it "la cucaña".

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That looks like a Valencian flag though

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also famous in Sicily and malta

Somewhere near Valencia, Spain. Or that's what the flag suggests. Or at least it looks like it.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know too many people that would see this and confidently say "I could do that" and smugly never have to defend the assertion

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I could do that. Seems easy. Run, slip, smash your face against the log and fall to the water. Easy peasy. No way I'm getting the flag like that last guy did though.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying I COULD, but watching all those fails, I would certainly try differently.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too. I would approach slowly, sit on the log, one leg on each side, push myself forward, slip and fall on the water.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My younger self, yea that would be me.

Whats today's safety fluid, vic?

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Today we have a mix of car brake fluid, hydrogenated margarine, flame retardant and the semen of 25 sperm whales!

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well it's a secret, but I can tell you it comes from Hot Karl's Septic system.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm old, I don't want to break something.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Falling down on a log like that has got to hurt.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

On todays episode of "Ow! My Balls!"....

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did the last guy's count?

1 year ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

He got the flag, didn't he?

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

He basically slapped it.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dislodged it but didn’t hold it but not sure what rules are

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he caught it and everyone cheered, so I would assume it did

1 year ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

But he didn't catch it, he just knocked it down, which is why I asked.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He literally held it in his hand as he hit the water.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No he didn’t he went left the flag flipped down right separately

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'd watch this if it were an Olympic sport

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They also do this in Gloucester, Massachusetts and it's called "The Greasy Pole"

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mmmm splinters and bruised groins.

1 year ago | Likes 239 Dislikes 3

Right in the taint!

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Splinters into bruises groins?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I would worry about the rips more. More damage to be done...

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Splinters from a greased metal pole? impressive

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Someone has never gotten a metal splinter before and it shows.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Paint spliters are also gnarly.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do you have to run?

I'd just walk as far as I could, then sit down with both legs over one side, and scoot sideways until I reached the flag.

Even if it's timed, I'd still be faster than everyone who ran right off the pole.

1 year ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 5

I think this is Gloucester, and the pole is greased. You can't get grip. Fun fact this is the setting door innsmouth, so you are watching half fish people here and they are using their suction feet to grip better than normal humans can.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd do exactly that, and then fall anyway.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The pole is greased and almost frictionless so you need the momentum to slide towards the flag. Notice how not a single person can maintain an arm grip on it either. Going slow gives zero chance of reaching the flag.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

You slide in all directions, so sitting down, you'd still slide to one side or the other. It's oiled.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wonder if it is slippery? Some of those look more like a slip than a loss of balance

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

it is highly lubricated... that is the point, otherwise you just walk out there carefully.

1 year ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Scooting still seems safer to me, but I've fallen off of couch, so I'm probably not the best judge of slip, trip, and fall risks. 😅

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Resolution of the video isnt quite good enough to be sure, but it does look shinier than dry wood would

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It looks yet, which is a good indicator that it's slippery.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a bit out of touch with American politics: is this how you guys decide your next president?

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

That's not an American flag.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I withdraw my joke and would like to apologise to all those impacted by it

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Couldn’t get any worse results than last time.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No way, you kidding me, senile old white men can't even walk on dry land. No way would they run anyone coordinated enough to get even one foot on that pole. 🧐

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

No, it's not racist enough

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's got red and white stripes, but that isn't America. That's a place that has healthcare for its denizens.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Picture Trump trying to do that.....
