Is glass transparent to flies? They should make glass that looks opaque to insects (opaque to IR or UV for example)
(I don't know if insects see IR and/or UV; this was merely speculative)

It's probably because of visible light itself which makes them fly in windows, so you'd have to make glass which also we can't see through
