I have flat-coated retrievers and they are through and through a water dog. I don't care how damn cold that water is, they get in it willingly like it is nothing (They are moderatly large so when they pull on their leash, they can drag the kids no problem) I honestly don't know how they do it. Now deep snow does tend to bother them because of their webbed toes, the snow packs in there and you have to pick it out for them.

Probably the best sleep that dog has had in a long time. They're quite literally designed for this. The snow actually insulates them.

we had a Samoid/Golden Retriever cross on our farm. She loved to sleep in the snow and look like this.

That could be Tumilik. It was snowing here a few hours ago and she kept begging to go outside. And once outside she simply curled up and slept there. Once back in the house she just goes back to the door and whines to go outside again.

For a husky to be jostled from behind and still be half asleep, his Dad is a good Dad. I can see him sleeping in the snow, hearing Dad's voice and just thinking 'it gonna be a good day...
