I love this shit.

I already said this before, but I'm making it a life goal to travel around finding these tanks, recovering them, and bringing them home 1/2
to be restored or even repaired to their former glory. I hate to see such marvels being withered away

i miss that game & the hellcat. 0 armour but fast & good gun. Nerfed speed & gun. Now you cant reverse in time after you take shot. Was>
SaintMaceToTheFace
Yep. The hellcat was a tank they ruined
aegis27
Leopard 1, early Sherman, Walker Bulldog, T-34-85, Chi Ha/He?, IS-2, another early Sherman.

BatmansMustache
Stupid question: why would people just get up and abandon their tanks?
TheGreatAndPowerfulSage
Because someone shot them with a tank killer and everyone inside died and/or the tank blew up. Notice the cracked turret on #5.
GadenKerensky
Any number of reasons; crew was killed, tank was disabled, the crew had to retreat and their tank wouldn't help them do so.
DaddyDune
Tanks for the memories
atomicpancake37
I know number 6 is an IS
DoctorWhoots420
Would you say the one above it is a kv-1?
I would say so
KronksChin
Looks like a Japanese tank to me
The turret like like a Russian kv-1.that's my guess
The turret does look similar, But I think it's the Type 97 Chi-Ha
Ooooo the more I look at it the more you seem right, I think it is Japanese. I think the kv-1 had a wider hull
chunkblaster
This reminds of the post a couple months where they had similar pictures & had a little monologue for each about how the tanks were sleeping
Couple months ago*. It was very poetic, kinda got me a little emotional.
Delta2279

RoombaTheAssaultVacuum
Master has gone, but I wait. Enemy will come again and master will return. But I am tired. I must wait. I will protect this hill.
My crew has left. They celebrated. We had won the war. I know they will be back soon. I will stare over the horizon at what I fought for.
I hope I have not been forgotten. My treads are a little rusty and my barrel has not rotated in a long time, but I will wiat. And when
Master returns I will fight again. I will protect. But please hurry up master. I have waited a very long time.
#1 is a Pershing M26 or a E2 Sherman, #2 looks like a regular M4 Sherman
#3 is a Walker Bulldog light track, #4 looks like a T-34 Russian tank
#5 looks like a Chi-Nu Japanese track, #6 is a IS or IS2 heavy tank
#7 looks like a Sherman equipped with the short barreled howitzer.
Meant Chi-Ha the generation before the Chi-Nu
nursejr210
So, are the last and first ones considered "fish" tanks?

No - Definately looks like a tank to me
Yeah, its a Leopard I https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/95/Bundesarchiv_B_145_Bild-F027413-0011,_Kampfpanzer_Leopard_I.jpg
GameDaddy7175
Looks like a Sherman Firefly.
SanSilv
Yes.
Acciopower
Yes it is. It is an early version with optical rangefinder bubbles visible and raised rings around the turret hatches.
Danishlmgurian
Can't be, the turret looks American
Its def an early Leopard I turret.
nevaran
pretty surw its a t32 or m26
All the American tanks look kinda similar, except for the m4 versions. But yeah, probably one of the two
Its a Leopard 1. The mechanical range finders and driver placement give it away.
It doesnt even have the fat 'silencer' or whatever it is called in the middle of the cannon. Its not a leopard 1
... Its a fume extractor. Now, you may not know this, but those... 'fat silencers' come off. If you see those little holes roughly halfway
on the gun barrel, that is where the fume extractor or bore evac sits. Its pretty easy to take off once you grease it up enough.
DeathStarWasAnInsideJob
A Pershing or one of the American post-war heavy tanks, T-29 or T-32
T29 only had one or two prototypes built and both had engine problems and was never mass produced or saw combat
Doesn't the t29 have a long turret with "ears" on the sides? It has to be either t32 or pershing
woodwraith
Prbly a 32, 29's were rare and the gun mantlet is legit a solid bathtub worth of metal, that one's too small vertically
The one in the flowers is a pershing
Its def a Leopard 1. Its an early one with the cast turret.
JupiterMiningCorpRep
Yep, Early Leopard 1, hard to tell which exact one though
That looks nothing like a Leopard turret
Correction, after closer inspection it does have turret traits of a Leopard. Curious which combat it saw.
It's the lighting and camera, it's got the right hull, and mantlet, the camera angle makes the turret look a lot shorter
