Well I assume he just has a pile of big gold coins in there.

Well it's not exactly a secret anymore now is it?

This but to a secret bedroom for naps.

“Where did she go?”

“I don’t know but this wall is snoring.”

If I was rich, I’d definitely have secret rooms.

My video game brain insists that section needs to be a slightly different shade

Granted, you paid to buy a fucking big safe and build a secret closet for it, you can clearly afford it; but if you have so much valuable stuff that you have to go to these lengths to hide it, then maybe you have too much valuable stuff.

Probably guns and/or drugs

I never told anyone when i am at the beach I leave my keys and wallet in my sneakers...no one has a clue shhh

Don't be foolhardy, that's the first place they'll look. Leave them in someone else's shoes.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’ve heard leaving them in a wrapped up diaper like it’s been used but haven’t tried it. I’ll try the “in someone else’s shoes” in the future! Sounds like a solid plan. What could go wrong?!

Soft-close drawer slides?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've played old school first-person shooters. I'll find your secret door.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

what's in the safe?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After paying for why would need a safe?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s no secret if someone other than you built it.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And now you have to kill all the people who have conceived and built it...

It's on the cieling too, most likely a showroom.

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Or at least some trim.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like the floor, but yes too much different coloured wood.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's part of the defence. "These people clearly don't have any money"

or taste. Ya gunna steal their Honey Boo Boo commemorative plate set.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Money can’t buy taste.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What wood you do instead?

2 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 2

I'd go all nuts and switch floor with the wall. The pattern I mean not physically... :) also it would be just mad to have a trap door in the floor ;)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No wood. Black stone floor. Nice contrast.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

That's how you get an ear-deafening echo.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Some sort of solid color. Lets say white oak with a pale finish.

Yes. Orange, brown tan combination perhaps?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I prefer booger green but that sounds nice, yes

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My vote is for a dark green or burgundy, make it feel like a Victorian study

Less shitty tile, probably.

When the wall settles or the foundation shifts that’s going to either suck or be real easy to find

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Worst place to get trapped inside by mistake.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I heard there was a sliding door, that slid so smooth you´d see no more, but you dont really care for woodwork - do ya?

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

You, sir or madame, have my heartily given upvote! Perfection.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It slides like this, three-fourths, five sixths; the brownish walls, the floor like shit; The baffled spouse is just asking “Why would ya?”

"How'd you manage to find my secret room that I always hide in?"

2 years ago | Likes 192 Dislikes 4

What am I looking at here besides some toes at the bottom ? Sweat marks on the floor ? I can see a door, so it's not much of a secret...

we had one at my grandmothers that was behind wainscoting, you would hit up on the trim in one spot and could be pulled up then that panel pulled out. couldn't hide in in mind you but it's where she kept my grandfather's medals and other hoarded crap. was pretty hard to spot.

Found a secret room behind bookshelf at a local bar like that, full of cleaning supplies. Worst secret room ever. Or maybe I just gave up too easy and the real treasure was in the mop bucket.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

That was the decoy secret room. You were supposed to find the hidden door in that secret room to find the Super VIP room.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of that scene in National Treasure. No, it doesn't hold up that well, so don't bother rewatching it.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The real treasure was the cleaning supplies you stole along the way.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Dark Souls taught us that you have to hide the secret room at least three deep to hide the *really* good stuff. Mix the right combo of soaps in that bucket and you'll unlock a whole hidden zone.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's why I immediately start attacking the walls whenever I'm in a basement or closet. My friends don't like to invite me over anymore, but I think they're just trying to keep all their Estus flasks to themselves.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hehehe. What I’m picturing would make for a pretty funny video. I feel like if I lived somewhere with basements, I would totally recreate this in a short video just for fun.

Took a tour of an Estate house in Scotland, and they mentioned in the grand dining room that there was a hidden door. I found it by finding the wear mark on the floor where it swung out. Guide was impressed. I just read a lot of Sherlock Holmes as a kid, :-P

2 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

And also, make it not reach all the way to the ground? maybe?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And that is why you always make your hidden door swing in.

The problem with a secret room with a hidden door is the temptation to show it off to everyone.

2 years ago | Likes 346 Dislikes 2

I'm pretty sure I would have to own property first before I install something like that.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I keep trying to show people my hidden Rumpus room in the basement but I keep getting slapped. What's wrong with showing people gaming entertainment?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No one would ever look for the second.

Counterpoint: I've never shown off my secret room in the den accessible only if you push in the third brick next to the fireplace, which opens an opposing wall with a super cool mechanism that you should really check out if you ever get a chance.
