Should live first, get the kids later. Men leave their families all the time but somehow a woman doing it is a lot worse?

Reminds me of this man that worked for my dad. One day he disappeared, didn't show up for work, wife filed a police report, etc (1)
Two months later he sends a message, not to his wife or two kids he abandoned, but to my dad saying sorry he left work with no notice. (2)
He decided to move to Las Vegas, family life and a job wasn't "working" for him. Some people just suck. Sorry you have to deal with that (3)
stargazer58
And what if it's the husband. Moved his girlfriend across country to take care of her, but fuck over his wife and four kids.

There is a thing called middle ground. Elusive, but worth the hunt.
As someone who was married with 3 kids, sometimes there is no middle ground to stand on.
Not always. Can you imagine how much you would have to hate your life to walk away like that? That's 17 years of resentment.

Selfish? Yes. Should they stay instead? No. In the short term, leaving is gonna break a lot of hearts but trust me, staying and letting 1/2
The resentment for each other build up is even more unhealthy. They're better off without them 2/2

That's kind of a common theme with people who are professionally very successful, they suck at personal relationships.
You also have to put your work as the #1 priority to achieve that so that's probably the reason.
I mean look at ol'Musky, doing all that awesome shit, I'd never trade my life with him, his personal life is a screwup.

Speaking as someone whose parents had (and have) an extremely unhappy marriage, "stay together for the kids" is toxic and unhelpful advice.
