When everything was on netflix, I gave up pirating and paid because it was easy. Now there's 30 services, and I'm back to pirating.

Or it's on Prime (which I already pay for) but it's $4.99.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Back to The Future Trilogy is on there...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pirate Bay all the way

For everything else, there's pirate bay

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or CinemaHD

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not like they own those movies, they have to get the streaming rights for it and that'll only last maybe a month.

Schrodinger Streaming

"Here are movies similar to _____"

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is why I still get the discs mailed, like it's the dark ages or something.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Didn’t realize this was still an option. Interesting.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And the best thing ever if there's a TV show you love they will have the last season of it but not the first seasons!

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Too soon, krillin.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Netflix: We think you'll like this! Me: In what universe have I ever expressed and interest in that?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Still better than Amazon prime "having" it only to direct you to some 3rd party so you can pay to rent it..

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Netflix has good movies, but maybe not the one you want because it’s on one of the other 15 streaming services.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

https://www.justwatch.com/us tells you where the thing you want to stream is, and how expensive it is to stream it (if it's not free)

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks. This is great!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But they'll have 20 "Netflix Originals" that all sound like they have unique premises but eventually devolve into the same shit.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Or get cancelled

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And if it's a TV show, they'll only have season 4...

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

My problem is if there’s a series I want to see they’ll only have a movie. Lookin’ at you, Cowboy Bebop.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Gave up using mainstream services for anime. Can never find the one i want.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Cowboy bebop is free on Adult Swim.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hulu.

"Is this a normie joke I'm too pirate to understand?"

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Manchurian Candidate is on there. +1

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Which one?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Before seeing it I mentioned that the movie is probably about ramen. I died laughing when he buys ramen.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's good to know, thank you!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's true of whatever streaming service you happen to have.

5 years ago | Likes 128 Dislikes 4

The Google TV app is pretty good for this. You tell it which streaming services you have, and it searches those services only.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have pretty much all the big ones, except live TV. Generally it’ll be on live TV but not any of the apps.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It will be on the network with the most ads too.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Only if you use the legal ones.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Unless you are in the US and have 10 times the movies we other Netflix mortals have. Luckily vpn exists.

5 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 1

They're mostly shit movies though.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here here!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Australia has the best Netflix movie selection. I choose my VPN by which one still works on Aus Netflix. they're good at detecting proxies

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

chose. I don't have it anymore. back to the high seas for me. And Kodi

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I can never get kodi to work right

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oddly enough the shit I want to watch isn't on US Netflix

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Maybe pornhub?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And Canada! They have the best Netflix. Or…so I’m told.

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I'm in Canada and was told by my US friends that we have far more that the states does so... Apparently!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, I'm in Canada, US still the best, we don't have a lot either

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Nope.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Uh, what? Definitely not. It was pretty good when I first signed up, but a *lot* of content has been removed.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Vpn is so expensive for my 3rd world country. It's not worth it. I just set sails with guys with striped t-shirts and wooden legs

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They got rid of the rating system that actually brought you to good content. Now it's like "we need more people to watch -this-

5 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Not to mention the shuffle option only shows one of their three major titles. I want Max back! He was so useful for finding new shows!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This needs to be discussed more.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Continue watching is no longer ordered by the last thing you watched but what they want you to watch. And continue is variable 2-5 rows down

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Continue watching completely disappeared for me. I actually have to search for shows I want to finish... that I got off the front 2 days ago

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Holy crap right?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Seriously. I never understood the old rating system hate until I realized people didn't go in and provide a list of liked movies.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The more I filled it out, the better the predictions got. Then they changed it, damn it all.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The old "popular now" section that has rubbish content. Nobody's watching it but Netflix wants us to watch it for some reason

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Here's 15 recommended movies. Here's 10 categories that somehow all contain these same few dozen movies. We wont recommend you anything else

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I absolutely hate this about Netflix...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But good news! It's on PeaHBO+ Max Prime! It's one of 7 movies on that service, so you can watch them in a 30 free trial before cancelling!

5 years ago | Likes 280 Dislikes 6

Or rotate through each service one at a time for a month each. By the time it's a service's turn again, they'll have more content.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wound up doing that with infinity train. great show, but the only show worth watching I could find on that service.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At that point you might as well just pirate the thing.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Ah, a fellow Peacock user. My condolences.

5 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

I got some free streaming device I didn't want from Comcast to give me Peacock access. It's still shrink wrapped.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I still have Hulu because it was bundled with Spotify for like $1 more back in the day

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Movies just rotate through the different streaming services, so wait a few months and it will probably be back.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The waiting part reminds me of cable

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There’s only a few that I really wanted to see that don’t seem to be on ANY of them.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

We did that firestick thing for a bit, but the streaming was awful. Haven’t touched it in a long while. Only thing I used it for was

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

stuff that doesn’t exist in the public … like Song Of The South, the Brimstone tv series, Captain Simian And The Space Monkeys …

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But they'll have the crappy sequel.

5 years ago | Likes 1446 Dislikes 5

Its not that netflix doesnt have good stuff, its that you dont have a life so your bord of all of it

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Not entirely true. They have The Big Lebowski, but they don't have The Jesus Rolls.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Or they'll have 1 and 3

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

How to train your dragon

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was cheaper

5 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's like the film's you find in the £ shop

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Is that pound town?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And lots of movies that are not at all like this

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And the best UI

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs both 1 and 2 are on Netflix

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Get a VPN and find a country that has it. If it's not there, streaming sites.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

how high

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fucking right! I wanted to watch the silent Hill movies and the first was on Amazon but the second was on Netflix!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I swear they have a program that just deletes movies as soon as I enter it in the search box

5 years ago | Likes 640 Dislikes 4

The rule in my house is always “If you say the movie/show out loud, Netflix will hear you and remove it to fuck with you”.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Somehow we ended up with prime Netflix Hulu mbomax and f’in Disney+ and 80% shit we wanna see .. nowhere

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep. They learned what we all wanted, then figured out how to capitalize on it to screw us over, while laughing all the way to the bank.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you search for anything they know what you'll pay for...

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Not true. The search function will autofill a movie title because they know other's searched for it, only to not have the movie.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

At least it's not "we will autofill the exact title of the movie you want, making you believe we have it" just to give you similar films.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Bitch just say you don't got it. I ain't going to specifically search something to settle on something else

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I watched the first episode of Stargate Atlantis. I hit next episode and it was removed.

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Lmfao brutal

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

At least its not "Yes we have that" *play* "Not available in your region"

5 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 0

Vpn

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Or Amazon Prime Video. "Yes, the subscription you pay for has this title" "No, you can't watch it, you still have to pay for it first"

5 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Disney+ has that too. "Look! New! Give us 30 bucks."

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

"He searched altered carbon. Cancel season 3." -Netflix Exec

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Season 2 kinda sucked. The magic wasn’t there. Not sure if it’s because of Mackie or budget or writer but something missed the mark. Shame

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It felt off but I still enjoyed it enough.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So it's you!!!

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It is!!! I'm so sorry!

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It’s the Netflix Uncertainty Principle. As soon as you express an interest in finding it on Netflix it won’t be there.

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Probably because the networks are pulling their best stuff off of netflix to put on their own stream service

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it will be on Hulu with special subscription

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

1-week free trial, $39.99/month
