Laid off in 90 Days, well alright then.

Just found out today that my company decided to take the route of outsourcing roles to those who will work for less than $14.00 hourly. Because hey, fuck you for having minumum wage increased.

TL,DR : Gotta find a new job in 90 days, my company sucks, I'm annoyed. Pot brownies.

So here's the story. My company who will remain nameless decided to outsource the jobs of like 400+ people in Ontario to the states because they can save about two dollars per person overall.

They gave us 90 days notice to not have to pay severance to the employees. Turns out, if you give that notice to employees who work for you for above 5 years, it will negate any kind of severance package, or at the very least lessen the amount you can be paid out. As it stands I've worked for the company for 3 years so I don't qualify. What does suck though is my fiancee also works for said company, and it kind of screws us up as we had an awesome routine. But as they say, change is the most constant thing in life.

So. Im doing the responsible adult thing and eating a couple of pot brownies, and hanging out with the cat, while updating the resume. Hellboy is the frown I am wearing for now.
