I didn't know any locations still did that. They removed the skating carhops from their commercials in this area in the 90s, and the last one I saw in person was in '98 I think. She was very nervous, just slowly coasting to the cars instead of striding.
Just looked it up because of your comment, and saw that there were skating ads elsewhere in the 2010s and an annual Sonic skating carhop competition. Mind blown. The past persists!
And how many of those carhops don't work enough hours to be on company insurance? Probably have to sign something saying you take responsibility for wearing roller skates.
