The Balvenie as a distillery, are easily my favorite nonpeated scotches. Lagavulin takes the cake though. What kind of port are you drinking

Tawny ports can be great. I'm still new to them myself but I had one a few months ago that I enjoyed quite a bit. Haven't had yours, though.

I don't think it is quite as intense about it's peatyness as Laphroaig for example but its still a beast. Also, if you see the distiller's

edition, give it a go. A little price but absolutely magnificent. It's finished in sherry casks which I think adds a whole 'nother level.
