My buddy decided he didn't need the medication again.

Went on a full day rant, broke a bunch of his own stuff, dumped a full ash tray on me, claimed he KNOWS I'm fucking his dad, and went on about how his family and I are conspiring against him with help of the government to make his life hell. I'm his only friend. I don't know what to do. I'm physically and emotionally drained after today.

my older brother is similar. Ive found it difficult at times but together with his family and mental health workers is the only way to help.

I went through the same thing before. I promise you, you can't do anything. Your friend has to want to get help.

Roommate had a psychotic breakdown. Tried to pray me away cause he thought I was the devil.

Call emergency services or a mental health crisis center in your area.

That's what a goverment agent whould say. Just kidding plx stay strong

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glad you could add a little seriousness there, thanks

Call his family and tell them to come and get him. Sounds like he can't cope alone.

My friend also had a mental breakdown a while back. He's just now getting sort of normal with meds but I am worried he might do this too :(

Hold in there Agent 43, operation Mike Alpha Delta will soon be complete.

All the jokes i can't help but laugh

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP consider therrapy for yourself. Taking care of mentally ill is hard, and its often neglected how much it takes out of people around them

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

@OP This could help out in so many ways, if you don't see a therapist already you should find one as soon as you can

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gather more people for a foundation of support, his family, mental health counselors, one is not enough.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Well he's got one thing right already, i am working with his family. We all help him. He has an episode maybe once or twice a year

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That sounds like my dad he was under a lot of stress and he was convinced everyone around him was with "them" and was against him even 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1/2 yelled at my sister for taking money because "they" told her too. He's good ish now we just don't talk about it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

stop fucking his dad you narc

9 years ago | Likes 305 Dislikes 11

The first dad fuck comment was funny, the rest were unoriginal 0/10

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

Yeah man, poopiebutthole is right; if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

They *are* putting a ring on it. A brown ring

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah thats really narcoleptic of you bro

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

He needs to go to an emergency mental health clinic. The ER would hook him up, but getting him to go willingly probably isn't going to-

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He did sincerely ask me to take him up to the hospital, we went and he got to go back home later

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-happen. You might be able to talk to your local law enforcement. I had to call them on my wife once because she threatened suicide and-

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

-I had no way of reaching her. They could possibly help you.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well??...are you?!?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

His mother and father are parents to me. And not only that, I'd be WAY more likely to do his mom anyway ???? soz bad joke

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love his parents like family. I've been friends with them for 14 years

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This situation is an absolutely classic behaviour from well medicated schizophrenics. I've Seen it countless times.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

next time just bitch slap him and tell him 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

2/2 "no one cares enuogh about you to be willing to put in the effort to make your life hell, get over yourself!"

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

This is actually probably more likely to work than the other options

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please get him to take his meds again :(

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

He had me take him to the hospital when he kinda went normal temporarily. But on the way there he stated acting weird again

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He knew something was off so he asked me to take him

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take care of yourself. If, by some miraculous epiphany, you know how to help, do so. Otherwise, try not to make it worse. All you can do.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

My friend stopped being my friend when he stopped taking his meds. It sucked. Had to friend dump him because he went full asshole

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He does act like an asshole but he also apologizes because part of "normal" him peeks through. He's actually a very sweet guy

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

mine never apologized.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

im sorry to hear that

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It happens. We hung out like every day too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate when people stop taking their meds without a plan. It makes the rest of us look crazier. It's why I take my meds.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My friend pulled over buried his keys and ran naked up a mountain. Still thinks he don't need meds.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If he wont take his meds then you shouldn't feel guilty about distancing urself from him.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can tell you what u Shouldnt do. DONT just dissapear, its fine if you ultimately decide u need to leave but not like that. It fuckin hurts

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would never, he's my best friend. All these people telling me to leave, no way. Everyone needs a friend, no matter how fucked up they are

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sad thing is he's probably right. You just don't know it yet.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your a good friend dude.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glad someone notices.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately he needs professional help, but calling the authorities would only make it worse.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We went to the hospital and he got checked out and sent home

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's good to hear.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why do these people ALWAYS decide they dont need their meds any more?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Because that in itself is a classic symptom of many mental health disorders.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Basically it's because the meds work. The meds do their job so the person feels in control. For whatever reason they decide that means 1

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

They are cured, and therefore no longer need the meds. Believing they will still be stable. It's especially true if the meds give a lot 2

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Of side effects. They think they can be stable without the drawbacks. 3

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because they're mentally unstable

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yea, but the meds are supposed to stop that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

chicken or egg?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Meds aren't perfect.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hide his meds in a bologna and lettuce sandwich on white. Works on TV, should work IRL.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I forgot to add the part where he said we're drugging him

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Record this shit - so next time (if you bother to stay around) when he says I dont need my meds - show him and tell him that does need em.

9 years ago | Likes 512 Dislikes 3

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

OR! or.. you can stop conspiring against him like that.. it is an unfair advantage to him..

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Because recording a conversation of someone who thinks people are conspiring is definitely going to help them think no one is.

9 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 9

Yeah if he sees it that can really fuck things up even more

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 10

Those psychotic thoughts disappear with proper medication, making them rational and functional. It IS a good idea so long as they take agai

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

He just needs to slap a "Not Government property" on the camera/recorder

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is absolutely necessary. I knew someone who went through the same thing. This helped immensely.

9 years ago | Likes 149 Dislikes 2

quick, tell the world you just found a way how to cure schizophrenia in no time!

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 27

It doesn't have to be full blown schizophrenia to get like this. My uncle's bipolar and was convinced the government was stealing his (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Plans for a supercolider, and left the plans (mostly gibberish) with my grandpa before going to the woods for a week.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wow. Douche. It does certainly help to remember that person how they are without the meds. Source; psychotic mother. Alsof fuck you

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

from my experience they play it down and/or dont remember it. source: schizophrenic brother and working in health care. also fuck you
