I remember an old game, Streets of SimCity, I think it was, where you could make all sorts of really cool cars including a hover mode. When you'd activate it the wheels did that, was super neat. Of course using hover mode absolutely fukken guzzled the gas, but still.

This is the Riho Bridge in Japan. Destroyed by the magnitude 7.2 Iwate earthquake in 2008. Still "standing" today.

Exactly the issue, we can’t use roadways that are “standing”, they need to be “laying down”
BurningVeryImportantThings
parts of this photo look like ai to me nothing feels real anymore
somnif
What an odd bridge, it appeared to exist to make the drive for that one building... about the same distance? Huh.
whyexactly
I'm assuming it was the previous bridge for that larger road before the current bridge was put in
somnif
My brain was thinking "no way that much got built since 2008" but then I realized some countries aren't hellscapes like mine...
RummageSaleBubbler

There was indeed a bridge that collapsed in China. But that is not this one

In America, the bridges are just as bad, but we’ve cut down all the trees.

China is actually the most heavily deforested area on Earth. There are deserts there that didn't exist a few thousand years ago.
