It's just like the convos every time Microsoft changes the start menu.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Best part? These will still sell in the millions.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If it ain't broke , don't fix it......

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Polarizing opinion here. Don't listen to music that much. I'm gonna buy the new phone and be ok with it

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder what will happen when android does the same and requires USB type C headphones

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As if people didn't play music without headsets on public transportation anyways

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't know why everyone's so fired up about this, my boyfriend bought an Android phone weeks ago and it doesn't have a headphone jack.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Theres different options for android phones, some with and some without headphone jacks. Apple has 2 new phones, both without it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is only one line of iPhones, Android is just a system so any company can make their own line of Android phones

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SO TIRED of buying iPhone cords, to have them tell me it's not warranted damage. I now bring my collection of 5 frayed cords to the store.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I've had iPhones since 2010 (4-->5-->6) and had I think one cord with exposed wiring, plus one that got fried by a power surge? If you're

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

breaking so many, maybe you're not using them right. Not saying they shouldn't be more durable, but sounds like it's not just the cord here.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Frayed ends are 100% covered by warranty. Stop flossing with your charging cable.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just buy em from amazon. Also, if your cables are breaking that often, maybe you're using them oddly. I extremely rarely have one fray.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Been there. Had three of those fail or fray on me.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The most I've gone through with one phone is about three still a pain though

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Definitely annoying. Finally had mine break (without fraying though) about a week ago. Got a nice 6ft one from Amazon though for like $8!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah... iPhones suck....

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

i use a Oneplus 2, switching from apple back in april. extremely satisfied, never going back.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I have the three and it's an amazing phone in every respect

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How easy was it to transfer your music library to it?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

literally it was transferring files from my computer to my phone. drag and drop folders. very easy.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Excellent. :) thanks!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Samsung lover here.

10 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 16

I wish Samsung would sell unlocked phones in the US.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How's that flaming hole in your pocket doing?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What's it like shagging a headphone socket?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

LIke a hotdog down a hallway...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty good. I almost touch the sides.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I love my Note 7! It has a jack, wireless charging and doubles as a lap warmer!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Side Note: I do actually have one and no it hasn't exploded/caught fire. I really do love it.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Same, but I'm very anxious about charging it. I never let it get over 50 or be on the charger longer than 20 min

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have wireless charging!

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Eh wireless charging isn't quite there yet, overheating issues and reduced battery life is a huge turn off

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Ah.. but we DO have Quick Charging. =)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Heck yeah, and Huawei's new supercharge oh boy it's getting me all hot and bothered

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't know this was a thing but cool, I think they'll get it soon though

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, those are fire

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 3

Heyoooooo!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hahahaha!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately, quite literally

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine damn near burns me when im charging and playing a game

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Losing the air buds is not a big problem. Most of them will be stolen within a week anyway.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Id go with the one plus three

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

For $400 the specs are staggering. 6GB RAM, on a phone.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

None of these people even have iphones. Why waste your time hating on it. If you don't like it don't buy it and stfu lol.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I don't own an iPhone but I've been using a bluetooth headset for at least 2 years. Although I would not pay $169 for those.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apples plan to bring IPOD sales up is ???? solid

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ungrateful little shits. Had to carry a phone, camera, and Walkman all as separate devices! And I needed a damn paper planner as a calendar!

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

This is why I hate apple. This is not a new "feature", it is them forcing you to do what they want. Easily could have kept the jack (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 8

And released the wireless headphones allowing you to use which ever you choose without a stupid adapter.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

Water resistance, dude. And they have to do it eventually, like going from old port to lightning. Might as well rip the bandaid off now.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Lightening port was a dick moving making all the iPhone home docking stereos and accessories useless

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sony and Samsung both were able to do water resistance with headphone jack.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They figure they'll sell more AirPods this way. Probably true, but if people buy them that's on them. Let people buy what the want...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They aren't making you do anything. Buy a different phone

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

That's why my phone and tablets are all android.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everyone's hating on Apple non-stop yet they keep selling stuff and making more than a shitload of money.Welcome to society.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I know from experience Apples headphones are uncomfortable and refuse to stay in my ear. You couldn't pay me to switch to these "airpods".

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hate em 2

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apparently these do, for several journos/reviewers who got to play with them but don't like the current ones. Dunno how.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Comes with three sleeves for different sized ear canals, so I heard.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, maybe, I'm still skeptical though. I wouldn't rush out to buy them without having tried them first. And I'm not sure where I'd get to.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apple Store seems most likely. Same here.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All these people outraged, and yet everyone will still buy the new phone, Apple will still continue making garbage, and the world spins on.

10 years ago | Likes 215 Dislikes 30

It's the call of duty of phones.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Outraged in hopes of making even some change. Complacency is death.

10 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

I think it's so amusing that people are outraged that a new product they haven't purchased, is crummier then expected.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

...like...buy something else then if it's not what you're looking for? Why the rage?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

China (a large market for mobile devices) is unimpressed. I don't buy new electronics anyway. Still got my Samsung s5.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Represent!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol, they will lose sales with this. Numerous people have decided to switch because of it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doesn't have a headphone jack so it's "garbage."

Yes. iPhone owners, Christians. People who drive slow in the passing lane. Idiots abound.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 20

You forgot "imgur user showershortz."

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Sold to outlets or customers? ;)

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Fuck you.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, your choice of consumer electronics is inferior to mine, and therefore you are stupid, morally bankrupt, and probably a furry.

10 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 3

You had me at furry ;)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd be surprised if anyone is offering wireless charging in 2018.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was already made i think

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not necessarily. Enough people complained about the Xbox one not being backwards compatible that they changed it.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Not really. Only some games work and they're all horribly compressed, picture is horrendous and distorted and audio is the same.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not outraged. It is just popular to be outraged over little things.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 7

If my Nokia Lumia 920 just had the app support of android or Apple, I wouldn't need another phone or case for the next 10 years

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Get a Lumia 950. Its really good

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had my Lumia with no case for 3 years. Not even a scratch on the screen

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately I switch to an iPhone ???? better app support that made life more manageable. less than a month and the screen shattered

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait wait wait, you seriously gotta recharge those earbuds? You mean there are no perks other than looking future-y?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Um, did you think they just like absorb energy from the air or run on hopes and dreams?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Looking seriously idiotic, you mean. Like you've got Something About Mary jizz hanging from both ears.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The 2 bitchiest groups of people I've ever seen online are PC gamers and Android users, like jeez who hurt you?!

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 20

I think most of the people who care about the iPhone 7 are iPhone users since it basically only applies to them...

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

Not in this thread. I see some people talking about being mad and switching but mostly 'android lover here, FUCK APPLE!' with 400 upvotes

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

We use iPhones at work. Response to the headphone jack thing has been "cool", basically. It's only antifanbois who make noise.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Having switched to iPhone because of how great iTunes was and how shitty android was for music, I'm pissed. 80% of my phone usage is music.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Apple is for idiots. Consoles are useless. I don't like anything mainstream! I'm so edgy with my different opinions, give me attention

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 15

Hey y'know, bluetooth headphones have been a thing for ages. You can, y'know, support wired and wireless. It's not hard.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 4

The new AirPods aren't Bluetooth, they're a new proprietary wireless protocol only on Apple products

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah, they have been. But far more people don't like paying ridiculous amounts for fancy blue tooth headphones (not buds, headphones!).

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think the issue is the removal of the port. There is no choice unless you want to buy an adapter and then you can't charge and listen.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The adapter is shipped in the box.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wonder what Apple's response to all this is

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

same thing as when they removed floppy drives, optical disc drives, removable batteries, physical keypads, track-pad buttons, etc.: nothing.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cackling like madmen while rolling around in piles of money because people are going to buy it anyway.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Everyone complains because hatters gone hate. Then they buy it anyway... Because Apple makes great products which is why they're one of the1

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

2 most wealthy companies in the world.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

No, they're one of the richest because they don't pay taxes. EU is actually suing Apple because they didn't pay tax for years.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Apple is one over 1000 companies that all do the same thing lol. Welcome to 2016

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Androids better. *ducking for cover*

10 years ago | Likes 879 Dislikes 67

I think imgur is smart enough to agree with you.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Android does not make phones.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I was already planning on switching. This shit seals the deal.

10 years ago | Likes 201 Dislikes 2

Try oneplus

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good luck. Apple makes it incredibly hard to switch. But you'll never go back-- I definitely won't (2 generations of Samsung in, currently).

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

With Samsung smart switch, it really isn't that bad anymore

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sync all of your contacts to google before you kill the iPhone

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I switched just before they announced the iPhone 7. I'm so happy with my Android. Never going back to Apple.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

same here, my Galaxy s5 is perfectly capable, and with my 7.3mAh Anker battery, a charge lasts me 5 days. WIN!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree, anyone have suggestions for an Apple defector? Never had a droid before.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What kind of features you looking for? Screen size, removable battery, etc.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have a 5s now, I like its size (<6"?); I don't need an xtra battery. I want something that does what my phone does now, no frills needed

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I jumped from an iPhone 5 to HTC One M9 last year. I would check out the new version (called HTC 10). The phone looks great, has decent

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I switched even before the iPhone. Sick of having to buy new because of limited updates. That's real bs imo.

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Also, the prices. I know good cellphones are expensive but 800 euros is ridiculous.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How many android users do you see using devices over 4 years old? Almost none. See plenty of iphone 5's out there still.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 15

My Nexus 5 is 4 years old. It runs absolutely perfect, and I know that for a fact because I'm an app dev.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Android has variation, so it's a bit harder to definitively know every type of phone. IPhones are literally all the exact same. Js

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I see plenty of older Android phones. They just aren't as distinguishable because they aren't literally the same product.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People also don't buy the new IPhones because there are no real improvements to justify purchasing them over the 5.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They increase performance at a similar rate as android phones. They just don't get random features like a pen or IR blaster.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because android prices are reasonable so we buy new ones

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Whats a new Note 7 cost? Whats the iphone 7 plus cost? Oh about the same? Moost point.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

Also, the new iphone 7 plus 128GB is only going to cost me 190$.... Which is about 50 less than the note would cost me.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

Apple sucks

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 15

Sucks but not in a good way (pulls pants back up)

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You're kidding, right? On imgur that statement will bring people bowing in adoration at your feet. 385 fucking upvotes as of this posting.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

maybe he was ducking for cover to avoid drowning in adoration

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are 'popular' unpopular opinion puffins and then there is this. Damn.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

why ducking for cover? is it because of incoming applefanboy comments or because they literally blow up

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

[Mistaking for Note7 intensifies]

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If there's a note 7 charging near you, ducking would be wise.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because everyone wants to feel edgy even though they're backing an exceedingly popular opinion.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are more androids on this planet than the Note 7 there bud

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*throws grenade that explodes and spells out "you're exactly right" in glitter in the air*

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Androids better what?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Android what?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Android is the shit. At least when you drop an Android the screen doesn't shatter ha ha

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

After my friend accidentally jumped into a pool with his iPhone, he saw the light of android.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Why would you compare an operating system to an mobile phone? Thats just dumb...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Android Army Forever (unless they fuck things up too)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They can't really. There are so many manufacturers all using the same OS that competition is insane, so none of them can pull any stupid (1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shit like this because of how easy it is to switch to the next manufacturer.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't have to duck for ever. Android is the new Apple. Rofl it's Apple users that have to duck for cover

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah. I'm about to switch from iPhone to something android.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Galaxy S7

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Android is the mediocre ignorant person's way to feel superior, while simply ignoring reality like the giant recall of exploding Samsungs.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

And for the record, I personally don't give two fucks what someone else uses for their phone, everyone has their own needs. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Proud owner of Samsung phones here. Since... 2002, I think? :-)

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Enjoying that battery? ;) don't worry I am an android fan too with a OnePlus X

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm an Android user but screw you, we don't need more people starting a fight over this.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

just get one from a third party company that when when ur phone blows up in ur face u can sue them for more money than 500$

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apple used to make the best mp3 players around. Nothing else was worth buying. Then they pissed off suppliers and that's gone too.

10 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 3

What did they do? I still have my click wheel 80gb iPod and it runs fine

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That was the last apple product I bought. 9 years ago.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I still use an 80G iPod Classic so I'm excited for the 7.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still have my last gen pre-touch screen Ipod nano. Not ditching that anytime soon. Is surprisingly resilient. The concept of an MP3 player..

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I still have the brick with 112gb of music on it. Need to find out how to download all my music from it before it stops working!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

is a tad outdated nowadays though: most phones can have that functionality now.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Do people listen to mp3s anymore?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like it more than my phone for playing music. It's smaller and has a battery life of about 3 days. Also better water resistance.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Still got my 120 gig ipod classic. Taken a helluva beating and still kicking, installed rockbox because itunes sucks

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, What is that? Can it take files from an ipod and download it?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

its firmware .A little tough to install & use but totally worth being able to drag drop files to and fro ipod and customizable

Capacity was amazing for the time though. 80GB 10 years ago was unheard of for a mp3 player.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PC iTunes seems to be designed to drive you crazy. I've heard it actually works with Macs but the PC version is wet cat shit.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's very unclear what it even does. Once it "synced" but in reality it deleted half of my files because it synced it with my phone's music

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

folder which had fewer albums/songs in it. Also, iTunes had shitty policy on deleted audiobooks. "You accidentally deleted it? Too bad."

*browsing Imgur on a Windows phone* I hope Microsoft won't do shit like this

10 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

I hope the Surface Phone is everything it's hyped to be.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're going to go in the opposite direction and fold out of the phone game

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure they already did

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love the Windows phone users. Iphone users seem like the preppy kid who always gets in fights with the rebel, cool kid at school (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

That is Android. Then there's the Windows guy off smoking weed in the corner being all chill with life. (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Windows users aren't many.I love the look and feel of Windows 10. Sure, game/app developers frequently forget about us but it's okay...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Windows 10 on mobile is seriously awesome but yeah very little app support

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's pretty easy to see Apple is trying to make you spend more money on stuff only their product is compatible with, which is kinda backward

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Explain how that's a true statement.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

$200 for their brand of headphones, and then going on to make no other sane option compatible? That's pretty fuckin money grubby.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

You do know that headphones come with the phone for free, right?! Also they cost $160. Which is a fair price for good Bluetooth headphones.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Although I won't buy them or the iPhone 7. Waiting for next year. Mostly because of contract.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like headphones are never something people need to replace? And apple knows this. The issue isnt fair pricing for bluetooth headphones, its

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ye, HW Mate 8 is my fav.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Android for life! Never had the iPhone, fuck that. I'm rocking an older android too and it still works like a charm.

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 9

yeah, my 3 year old nexus has the same specs as the 6s (except the camera) and cost me £250 2 years ago...go figure....

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Yet it doesnt have the same specs. And i am not even talking about build quality. That aside the Nexus still doesnt come close.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 8

That's complete BS.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Do your research before saying something...especially since you're posting from iphone...but technically yes, the nexus is better.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's all opinion. No research needs to be done. My co-worker owns a Nexus and is planning on getting an IPhone 7 Plus. It's a phone...1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Why ducking for cover? It makes you cool to bash Apple and hate others for their choice of phone around here.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 21

You preordered the iPhone 7 didn't you

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

Nope, I've had my iPhone 5 since 2012 and that's still working perfectly for me, thanks :)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's great, hundreds of dollars well saved.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The amazing thing about Apple threads on imgur is that 70% of the people posting in them are people who were never ever considering iPhone

and likely haven't had one in years, if ever. Just a massive circle jerk for people to dish scorn on a product they had no interest in

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

anyway. Like, I hate Justin Bieber and his whole brand, but you don't see me making submissions here just to hate on each new album he makes

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

Like, dude, you hated Apple before. You still hate them. We get it. Like, you literally have people in here just going like 'I like the 7'

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

Barring disaster, i'll be keeping my iphone 6 for at least another 5 years. No reason to get something new when the one I have works fine

10 years ago | Likes 168 Dislikes 12

I'm still on my iPhone 5. I don't play graphically intense games, and it's fine.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a iphone 6 just got it... My last one was an iphone 3 all i do is text, imgur, n jerk off to porn on it

10 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 4

On it? That could be messy

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thise are the only things I use my Galaxy for! Something something star crossed lovers.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Like wtf though. Autocorrect decides to "help" when it's not wanted but it doesn't save me when I actually need it.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well I hope it lasts that long for you. My iPhone gave me about 2.5 years and then would charge anymore.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Same actually, but when I cleaned the charging port it worked again. Did you try turning it off and cleaning the port with rubbing alcohol?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I cleaned it but not with alcohol. My wife has an old IPad that doesn't charge. Maybe I should try that.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah or what the other guys said. Tweezers to get out the lint. Don't be too aggressive obviously

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or picking at it with tweezers. My step dad thought his phone's micro USB was failing until an ATT employee picked the pocket lint out.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Paper clips work too

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think the 6 is probably the first phone that I haven't been dying to replace at the end of 2 years. Mine is functioning perfectly.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a 5s. It is legitimately locking up and having massive slowdowns for no reason. Forced obsolescence?

10 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 2

They always did it with the iPod classics too

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

happened to me with my 4 as well. couldn't download the software, and apps wouldn't work w/o the updating them, but I couldn't update 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

because they needed the updated app was only supported on the updated software. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Updates"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup. This is exactly the reason I switched to a Samsung. Couldn't be happier.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm on iPhone 5 - 9.2.2, not updated in a while (sheer laziness), I haven't noticed any slowdown. I'm pretty amazed at how fast it still is

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a 5s too, but I had a 4 a couple months ago and I'm still amazed at how fast mine is.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup. I've noticed that my iPhones always mysteriously stop working almost exactly when they announce a new one.

10 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

Happened to me and some other people I know. Spoopy

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

People will crow about it being illegal to do this but my mother and I experienced the same with our 5's. Got a 6. No issues.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Yes my wife has same exact thing happening until we upgrade it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a 5S and mine runs perfectly fine... I just won't be upgrading to iOS 10 because I want to keep my 9.3.3 jailbreak.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is a myth. And illegal too. Jailbreak your phone and downgrade to an older IOS. It'll work fine.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

I jailbroke an ipjone 4 that i used for my music it was cool for about a month and it just went downhill fast

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

4's all around are just terrible phones lol

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How is this illegal? It's not.. your windows 98 computer could still work but couldn't actually handle websites for example

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's illegal to make software to break someone's hardware, is what I mean. That would be bad PR for tech companies.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Ah, I see. That isn't what happens, or what I think other people mean. Eventually your old phone can't update to the latest version 1/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

still works. Basically ensuring it can function, but cutting it off from newer features/capabilities. It starts getting skittish 3/3

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right now with my wife's phone it won't let her update anymore, so to your point Apple is not letting her old phone update so that it 2/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If its a myth then why would I need to revert to a a previous IOS

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You're using new software with older hardware. Sure it can run it, but not as efficiently as the software it was originally intended to run.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

This is basic computer knowledge.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Good luck with that when Apple starts pulling back your storage and all the other crap they pull to force you to do what they want.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I don't use icloud so I have a solid 60 gb that I'll never fully use.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know this can't work right? They will phase it out through software updates

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

750p display for 5 more years? Lol

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IMO the iPhone 7 is the stupidest thing they've ever come out with. People don't want a thinner phone, they want the headphone jack.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree but my galaxy Swhatever has system updates every 2 weeks that end up using up more & more memory till it slows down to useless

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I had my Nokia 920 for 5 years. It can definitely be done. All improvements since then have been incremental

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same with my galaxy s4. Why buy the new, not at all better version, when mine is still fine. Sadly there are many that buy every new version

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

WHAT?!?! My S4 was a piece of junk by the time I upgraded to the S7! The S7 is 50x better than the S4 in every way but the TV remote signal!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you can make a single modern smartphone last 5 years, I'm voting for you for president.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I bought iphone 4 when it came out. Upgrades 6 months ago and gave it to my mother but it still works, 6 years and counting. Was slow 4 me.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Has anyone thought of just not getting the new iPhone and sticking with the iPhone 6 and 6 plus

10 years ago | Likes 1372 Dislikes 37

People just are resistant to change

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I'll be fine with my portable 5s

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or not getting the new one and not sticking with Apple

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Completely, yes. I have an iPhone 6 and I'm sticking with it forever. I hate how heavy the 6s is and forget the 7.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I went a step further and stuck with my Samsung Galaxy!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People are acting like this is the end of headphones, but computers, mp3s, and literally every other phone still uses them.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me! I thought of that! And I'm pretty happy with my decision.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or Android...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still own a 5s and it's fine

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't complain fuckers! Just buy a simple samsung

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just plan on switching to android once it's time for an upgrade

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And looking at the specs theres not much of a difference except for it being "water resistant". Kinda disappointing lol.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

thats what I'm doing

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Has anyone though of switching to Samsung?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm on my 5th galaxy. (Lost, etc..) and I will love them forever. Not one has failed on me or crashed yet.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My S3was the only phone I ever loved! I need a new one.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too! Son has a 7.. it's amazing but he cracked the damn screen already. That's a turn off. 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I prefer the older style where the glass is encased/surrounded by the outside. Never cracked one yet. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im not going to bitch about the headphones. they have ideas that im not into. so, when I upgrade from the 6 I'll go to android.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

That would be one MAJOR upgrade ;)

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Ditto. I'm fine with the 6 now. Then onto something else other than the 7.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or switching to Samsung?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

OR. Or, get a phone that is not an Apple product. Solves a lot of problems, too. Also, you get these neat features years ahead!

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I had an old brick of a cellphone back in the day. It didn't have a headphone jack. Well ahead of its time!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha, Apple didn't do that first either!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or, you know, the much better phones built by any other company?

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

Literally, any other company makes better, cheaper phones.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

But they don't make "iPhones". That's the difference.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a droid razor maxx. It's fine because I'm financially stable and don't have a small dick.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But I've got a iPhone 5c .-.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I've a iPhone 4S. I like it, except for some small issues. The screen sometimes goes black whenever I call someone. Otherwise I love it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

:D same

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same! Been waiting for 7 to come out... At least 6 might be cheaper now XD

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'd say it's better to wait for the 8 that's rumored to come out next year

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But will they put the headphone jack back in? I doubt it -.-

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've just never bought a single apple product.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would, but Apple is just going to turn my 6 into a paper weight with updates. I'm switching to android.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

iPhone 4 and iOS 6 here, still going strong!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have thought to never buy an iPhone again after the 3G, it's just amusing to read about Apples latest "brilliant ideas" and "innovation"

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Pretty much.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what I'm doing.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been an Apple user since day one and I'm legitimately considering getting an LG G5 right now

10 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 3

I've liked HTC and OnePlus, and I hated Samsung. You'll get a lot of differing opinions on Android brands

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Blackberry priv. Best phone I've ever owned.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's pretty awesome. Ive gone from g3, to g4, to g5.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have had a g3 g4 and thinking about the g5 it's worth it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

LG and HTC were what drove me to iPhone in the first place. Those brands fucking suck. I'd suggest going Samsung or OnePlus3

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If it's a OnePlus3, why didn't they just call it Four?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YAY!!! Going us!! We may not be fashionable but we have our principles. I just can't support Apple and their business practices.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you're thinking LG check out the V20. I prefer vanilla Android. Nexus only. Waiting for October's announcement or check the One Plus 3.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a G5 and quite like it. Perfect size in my opinion

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've had apples since 1984. Have 2 macbooks and an iPad. And an LG G5. Love Apple, hate iPhones (used to have one)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Don't. Get the LG V20 (it's coming soon) which is waaaaaay better.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Go Samsung. They are east to mess with, and a quality product. You can pick up a used galaxy s5 for about $100. Try it out

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 5

I loved my S3 but broke it. I have virgin n can't find a decent priced galaxy in good condition. Thinking of switching carriers for it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just got the s7 a couple months ago. I upgraded from the s4 only because they had the 'samsung gear' offer. It still works perfectly well.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Love the S7,Great phone, but way too much $. I like S5 bacuase they are cheap, have removable batteries and memory,

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have the s7 and the s5, both are great, but if you have an s5 just stick with it, the s7 is marginally better.S7 is stronger but that's it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks I'll look into it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The G5 is possibly the worst phone I've ever owned. 4hr battery life, outside max. I may have had a lemon but it left a bad taste.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a g5 my battery lasts forever.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jealous. I'd start work at 7 and need to charge it by 10 (30%) just to make it to 430 when I finished. Idle burned 70% of my battery daily.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it will only do that to me if i am watching netflix for that long. i can listen to podcasts all morning at work and not need to charge

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still got the iPhone 5 and it works perfectly, best size as well...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm just gonna keep my iPhone SE

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes but eventually they will stop selling them, so when yours breaks, it will be hard to find a replacement

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll do one better: I'll buy the new iPhone and somehow manage not to bitch about it.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I stick with OnePlus phones at the moment. I've never used an apple product to my knowledge.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

"does anyone have a iphone 6 charger.....no, just iphone 7s....oh...ok" slow death

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm keeping my 6 til I HAVE to get a new one and then probably switching unless Apple gets their shit together.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

You shouldn't go back. They don't deserve your business. This is an obvious money grab taking advantage of the fact that they think

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

their customers will never leave. Leave.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too. They can introduce the headphone jack on the iPhone 8 as if it was a brand new feature that they just now invented.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If people don't buy the 7, and find it's because of the lack of jack, they'll bring back the jack.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Some people say Products will fail if customers think you're taking things away from them apparently it's proven so this should happen

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Just like when Samsung took away the sd card slot, customers were angry and Samsung listened and brought it back.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Don't worry, everyone will still buy the things.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm sticking with my 6s till I see what the 7s is like.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Same, hoping if we bitch enough, maybe they'll listen? (Yes I know how naive that sounds)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I made the switch to Android & have never looked back. All I miss is copying and pasting images from a website or something into a text. :)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I just got a brand new 6 (yay). And it has a life proof box on it. I will wait for 8, when Ive is CEO.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would suggest ditching apple. They're money grabbing, and take advantage of their customers, assuming people will stay anyways.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thinking of going Android *GASP*

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought of switching to Samsung. And I did about a year ago. Best. Decision. Ever.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've mostly thought of getting a smartphone from a company that's less invasive and abusive than Apple. Like, most of them.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That seeks not like an option, even to say the headphonejack is doomed is a bit far fetched...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's funny because people are insisting like Apple is setting an industry standard when they're actually going directly opposed to one.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the plan for my work iphone. I need to charge it and have a headset plugged in pretty often. Personal phone is an S7 edge.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or just stick to android and the Galaxy

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, because people who buy iPhones know they will have to buy a new one eventually as Apple render older ones useless. I'll never buy one.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

But this is true for nearly every piece of technology...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not really. Apple Software updates intentionally cripple older models.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

or not getting any apple?

10 years ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 6

But how else would I keep the doctors away?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

That's what I plan on doing. When this one stops working, I'm switching to android unless they bring back corded earphones

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought of sticking to anything but Apple.

Okayyyyyy

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What did he say? =D

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He said something retarded

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ditto.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And this event is even making some Apple die-hards think that.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same. Will never own one. Ever. This is just stupidity. Everyone is going to lose those. Everyone.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Stick to me. I need frienz and my jack needs fulfilment.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

This. I cannot be bothered with apple, their fashionTech or their crappy business practices. Most likely just me, but whatever.

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 5

No just you. Why the hell are so many people bitching about another shitty product launch as if they had no other options? Fucking zombies.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Play games on last gen console/use the last gen video cards+CPU. Don't buy a new car again, see how being stuck at 2015 tech works for you.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 10

Or, and here me out here, switch to a competitor with equally updated tech that doesn't take advantage of their consumer's blind faith.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

And what part of switching precludes complaining about having to switch?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What part of switching prevents complaining about having to switch? No part precludes that. I don't see how thats a counter argument though

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

CosmicKitten was complaining about people making a deal out of the missing jack, so I was illustrating how foolish their "solution" was. 1/

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not everyone can afford to upgrade everything constantly. An 800$ phone has an opportunity cost, so it really sucks if it's bad.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

I have sprint iPhone for life. $15 a month and I can trade in my 3 iPhones for a new model every year.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I think people complaining about how upgrading to the iphone7 removes the jack also means they have the money to upgrade.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not $800

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Sorry $650. Still a lot of money and an equal opportunity cost.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

I still have the 4S...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or, you know, switching to Android, Samsung, Microsoft Phone, ect.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I miss my WP so much

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

or just getting a samsung

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Samsung is really the last Android phone you want if you want it to work smoothly and without problems. Touchwiz is just too sluggish.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's a fucking cell phone. How many problems does it give you??

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I think if you just count to 1 and compare that number to the thing I listed, you can probably arrive at the correct conclusion by yourself.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a VR developer with big thumbs, the Note series is maybe the best phone available.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always enjoy the big screens, I just don't like the choppiness. I have better luck with LG and ASUS cuz the OS skins are just lighter.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My husband just did that. It was $850 and we had to return it yesterday because the batteries explode.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Only in the note, correct?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Note 7. Correct.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Samsung messed up really bad.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a Sony Aqua. Funny thing, I no dead yet.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still rocking the 5s!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And then Apple will brick your Iphone 6

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually all this advertising convinced me to buy the 7. Completely wireless headphones? I hate wires. And that new camera? Let's do this.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 27

12 hours of LTE, waterproof, optic zoom camera with image stabilization. I would have bought this if not for that one plug missing.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

The lack of a headphone jack is stupid aux cords for cars. It's not like those Bluetooth headphones won't be able to run on any other phone.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Most cars these days can connect via Bluetooth. I wonder if there's an easy way to turn a non Bluetooth car into a Bluetooth car.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Yea with some stereo adapters. Or a new unit all together.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That isn't even close to true.. Most cars definitely do not have Bluetooth.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you have a car manufactured in the last few years it does

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

There are other flagship phones with better cameras and every phone can connect to wireless headphones.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Than the iPhone 7 plus? No there isn't.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

Man I must be crazy. I guess I've just been imagining my wireless bluetooth headphones connecting to my S6. Thanks for this revelation!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You need medical attention.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

im going to do the better option and stop using apple

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get an Android

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Android does not make phones. Android is a mobile operating system.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

"Get Windows" "Windows doesn't make computers. Windows is an operating system."

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i do that because i don't obey to the rules of capitalsim and consumerism....also i'm poor.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

No

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you crazy? If you don't have the newest iPhone, then you are banned from society and labeled as a LOSER!

10 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 8

I heard they kick you out of Starbucks and you have to go to the loser coffee shop across the street that names their beverages in English.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I know a lot of people moving away from it already, I originally liked it b/c of the interface and thought it was super user friendly

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm an Android user and iTunes is the antithesis of user-friendly. What's the point of having a music player if you can't use your own mp3s?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'll just wait for the iphone 8 when the headphone jack makes a majestic return.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do they really deserve your returned business, though? Theyre taking advantage of their customers here with an obvious money grab.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you have a good point. I was planning on switching to the note 7 but i'm too you to die a horrific death.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also a good point

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did EXACTLY THIS. I've been waiting for months to switch from android to iPhone 7. Read initial reviews, said fuck that, got a 6S Plus.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 6

So you're planning on getting a other new phone in a year or so when software updates make you new one an obsolete brick?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I mean the 4s is still getting software updates and its from 5 years ago, which seems a decent amount of time to have a phone.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry the update in August was the terminal update for the iPhone 4s. But still 5 years is a good chunk of time

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What didn't you like about the android?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

lots of people do, then apple slowly makes those product obsolete through software updates.

10 years ago | Likes 952 Dislikes 13

It won't be that slow.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also the product isn't built to last forever so it gets worse over time and will probably eventually break. I'm just switching to android.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah the joys of android and just updating it yourself

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"slowly"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't update...duh

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

You know what makes these products obsolete? Android.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We've listen to the consumer, and decided we don't care. Fuck you, that's why.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the service life on the hardware is only like 3 years even under laboratory conditions that don't involve real life, water, or gravity.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very slowly. They support old phones for 5+ years at least.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

Support yes, but what people are saying is that the "support" actually make the phones worse with each update. Typically only anecdotal data

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Most companies abandon old products well before that time. Apple is one of the very few that supports and upgrades the software for so long.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

And when they do, people will probably move their competitors rather than putting up with apple. It's what I'm doing

10 years ago | Likes 454 Dislikes 15

Lmao

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get a nexus or a device that has cyanogen mod support. Then you never get cut off for updates. LG G3 going strong. Gonna get Nougat soon.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's my plan too. Eff you apple, I'm done with your money grubbing.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It's what I'm thinking of doing if my 6 dies on me, I don't have Bluetooth in my car, so I use my aux cable a lot while I charge :/.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I just got the 6s in Dec, so I have about 3 years before it's what I consider to be obsolete. I'll be watching in the meantime to see.

10 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 2

Ikr, got a 6 in Jan 2015, gonna be while before I feel the need for it to be relplaced

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Exactly, I went from regular 4 to regular 6, saw no reason for the 5/7

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

*meme time

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

OnePlus 3, go for it!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Motorola is a thousand times better than Samsung fyi

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Man, I still have my Blur from like 6 years ago. Worked so damn amazing.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have the Droid Turbo and love it. The battery is amazing.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Huawei, HTC and LG are all equally as good or better than samsung. Nexus 6P is godly.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why? (i have a Windows Phone rn and am trying to decide what to get as a replacement b/c it's broken)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Verizon doesn't carry windows anymore so I was forced to get a S7. I miss my WP so much.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Minimal android tampering, water resistant(proof), newer models have the shatter resistant screen, great battery life and cameras. 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You'd be surprised how many people do NOT do that.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

I have thousands of dollars worth of music on my phone. It just doesn't make sense for me to switch at this point :/

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Onedrive + Groove app = all your music on a android phone. Even iTunes. Bonus: it's free.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You...you buy music? To your phone? Why? And besides, you could just move the songs to a SD card

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Samsung is going to be making a lot of money soon

10 years ago | Likes 229 Dislikes 2

via checks out.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I believe Samsung sells the most smartphones in the world. Check this of course, but they are a huge player in smartphones either way

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You might want to recall that statement.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 9

I'd say Huawei as well but I suppose the brand is too cheap for people who want the image of an iPhone.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then they will pull the exact same shit

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, the main reason I have Samsung is because they don't. They still have removable MicroSD for example. It feels more "computer phone"

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not likely, samsung, motorolla, and LG dont tend to take apple ideas... wireless headphones have been around a LONG time. Just offer both...

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You could say business will be... blowing up.

10 years ago | Likes 170 Dislikes 1

Slow clap*

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Unless they pull an HP and have a... fire sale.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its catching fire!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're just going to have a blast!

10 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

That was the note 7 right? I literally just got a 5 like 3 days ago

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

iPhone 4 and still on iOS 6!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apple updates ruined my 4s. Made it so slow it became virtually inoperable.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What if we don't update? I noticed my five was super slow and tmobile had no answer and blamed Apple. They should have a class action

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Some apps would not update and if you erase them you can download them again, Twitter is not available on an iPhone 4

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most companies are giving their product a competitive edge but apple, apple is just... having a hard time right now.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apple has such a dedicated base of drones they know that they can fuck us over and make money off of it, so they do.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm still on the 5 and they are forcing me out. My apps won't update and the screen freezes all the time.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Yup. Can't wait til the 6 or SE plummets in price after 7 is all I care about ;)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm still on a 3s.... When I whip it out, people freeze solid. I've almost convinced someone to buy me a new phone. In due time.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I got a 5S and i don't have any of these problems. It's just as smooth as ever.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I have the 5c and same here. Seems like I have a while to go before worrying about anything.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eventho my software is flawless, I cracked my screen, so I'm still buying the 7 haha

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not to mention deliberately borking the battery after a couple of years

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im one of those people 5s is dying for no reason other than I accidently updated my IOS and now it runs worse

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 4

That's what ruined my iPhone 4. I'd still be using it today if I didn't make the mistake of downloading iOS 7.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup! Updates around the new product launches always seem to make my current gen iPhones lag up and make photos look shittier

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'd like to see objective testing of that. I noticed it too when I used Apple but I thought it was all in my head

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree that's typically what happens. But I foresee this phone tanking and them changing that model.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They don't deserve to recover from it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but right now you still get the newest iOS version on a 5 year old phone. So that's not too bad.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Most older Apple phones don't have enough space for the update. My sister switched from her iphone 4 to a samsung s7 galaxy for that reason.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The updates are what screw up their older phones.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey, I'm still using My iPad 1 and it runs very smooth. It's like 6 years old and not obsolete. I'll still use it until the battery dies.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

My MacBook lasted 8 years. Only died bc toddler danced on it. Husband loves his 4S, I'm rocking my 5.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Hey I see you I use it for YouTube and porn lol

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Literally true

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, and other stuff like Google Maps and the like

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've got an iPhone 5S and I'm just not updating it

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Buddy has 4 that he hasn't updated in years. Works like the day he bought it.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My iPhone 6 is still on iOS 8.3 fight me apple

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I stopped at 9.1, because the rest of the updates are all described as "important security updates", that is, "we're gonna fuck your phone"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair that takes years, I believe the 4s will be the only phone not getting the new updates-so that's about 5 years of updates 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 5

I've still got my OG iPad from 2009. Battery is a bit dodgy, but the damn thing still works.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just got rid of my 4s. That thing was so slow. It was just bogged down from all the updates.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I upgraded from my 4s to a 5 a few months ago. The employees at the phone store thought I was crazy for not wanting the 6.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The problem isn't that old phones don't get updates; it's that the updates intended for new phones bog down the limited resources of the old

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've seen LG phones not last a year, I hate to say this but working in the industry, apple is a solid product, despite not being android

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 11

I've seen IPhones not last 6 months, but I've had my LG for 3 years.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never said that was the rule of thumb, and mine is only personal experience from 5 years worth of sales and tech support

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everyone should just go back to using Nokia's like the one I have http://www.gadgetking.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/image_thumb22.png

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Hmm. I'm down.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tbh if it has a physical qwerty I'm down for it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have iPhone 6 and it has become so slow I think they purposely slow down your device over time

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Uncle Ben's stocks plummet."

10 years ago | Likes 736 Dislikes 7

I don't have Uncle Bens where I live but isn't like a little packet of flavoured rice you put in the microwave?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"via iPhone"

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Totally didn't understand this joke

10 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 8

Get it now had to google it and the "put in rice and Asian come out a fix it" come up. Crisis adverted .. Don't panic everyone.

10 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 2

*averted

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's Uncle Ben's rice I believe

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You put rice with your wet phone to 'save' them from damage.

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

My phone went threw the washing machine, put it in rice over night and it was fine

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, I did that with my Huawei Y530 that fell into piss and it works now (yes I cleaned it first and let it dry properly)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It also hit the ceramic toilet bowl pretty hard, the white line on the phone and battery became red and it's still functional

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

well at least it isnt brownie cocktail

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True xD I was at work so that's not an option

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#34 er... the three-fingered giant-eyed sloth holding the mic for a woman with a fruit-bowl on her head as James Earl Jones watches in drag?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

as someone who works on phones, i've had to tell so many people their phone is fucked because they chose to put it in rice.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

ive saved my phone twice with rice. my ipod too. so, what about that?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Because rice does fuck all. If you get your phone wet, carry it to someone who can dismantle and dry it ASAP.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Yeah, on any other phone you can pop out the battery and cards and flush the water out with alcohol. For iPhone you need tools to do that

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If it's "just a bit damp" then rice is your friend. If it's -drenched- tho, what Q. said.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0
