Exercises for sports tend to be precise movements, done slow, that allow you to perform the more efficient movements quickly during a competition. Generally speaking, it is the job of the trainee to copy the trainer's exercises as closely as possible.
Is she more flexible? Yes. Is she better at clearing hurdles with minimum effort? I have no idea. All I know is that when an instructor bothers with you, showing off how good you are at something barely related is bad form at best.
