A day that didn't go to well...

Oct 21, 2016 8:02 PM

So this happened at 50mph.
Ball joint came off the wishbone and jammed the wheel under the arch. That jerked the steering wheel to one side and broke my thumb.
Then I slid into a ditch which has jarred my neck.
Might not look like much but I adore this car so I'm gutted I'll have to bin it (unless the chassis isn't bent like we suspect then i can fix it).

Probably thinking ok that's not THAT bad.
Well I was on my way to start my training for the army which I now can't do so I'm just generally feeling pissy and wanted to vent. Plus I now won't get paid for a while because of it.

Oh my. Almost the same thing happened to me the fling flang fell off the ding dang. It was a blood bath.

Has this happen on a Mitsu eclipse in downtown st Paul. Who designs a balljoint where the weight of the car is trying to separate it?

Happened to a buddy, ordered a pizza while waiting for tow truck. Shared pizza with tow truck driver, towed us at half price.

If you signed up for the army aren't you sort of obligated to go to training, despite car problems?

Injury means I'm incapable of any training until further notice.

He is injured. I think that's the hold out right now.
