This book is amazing

The Kingkiller Chronicles

So, I just finished the two available books in the Kingkiller Chronicles trilogy. They're amazing. Absurdly so. I am an empty, hollow husk while I wait for the next book. I see rumor has it that the book has been delayed intentionally as a movie, game and TV show deal was signed with Lionsgate early this year. While I'm very happy for the continuing success of the author and wish him really well, I am just dying for Book Three. It's so good, you guys :(

Book Two

Please resume your usual surfing of User Sub for tits and titillation. I know I will.

Indeed, great books and fantastic reads

Don't start this series until he finishes the third book!

It's not bad, but his lovelorn pining really got on my nerves after he did almost nothing else for 90 pages.

I mean, I get where you are coming from. I do. Book 2, Sim and Fela's reaction to him perfectly mirrors the reader in a brilliant way.

I was literally in this place a month ago. Check out the Emperor's Blades. Good to hold you over.

I most certainly will. Thanks for the suggestion!

He wrote himself into a corner and both books read like their his own personal wish fulfillment. I'm sorry, i'm done with Rothfuss.

*They're, fucking insomnia.

Yes they are but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because the last book hasn't come out yet and everyday waiting has been a fucking torture

I see where you're coming from. I nearly didn't read them myself for the same reason, but despite my wait now, I'm still glad I did.

Been waiting 4 years now, I haven't re-read them so when the 3rd book comes out, I'm going to drop everything and do a marathon of reading

I very well may do the same. The books are by no means short, but he packs so much story into very few pages. The nuance of it all (1/2)

practically demands a reading before the 3rd book just because you might miss some small detail if you don't (2/2)

There's a third book, @OP and it's equally wonderful. It's all about Auri and her story!

Yeah, I have I figured I'd hit the library for that one as I'm not sure I want to buy the collection of short stories for just the one.

I saw! And have every intention of picking up next. I do look forward to it, but I have a need for Denna and Kvothe to be happy. I need it.

I feel your pain. I'm re reading the second book as we speak!

I wouldn't really hold it against him if Pat goes the other, obvious direction with their romance. But I so very much hope he doesn't.

oh my sweet summer child...

I know. I do. There is an obvious route to take that precludes this, given to us in the "present" scenes in the book. I just dream big :(

I've been waiting for the last book for a year now ;0; I need to just reread them

Rumor and hearsay on the interwebs says they're thinking a summer 2017 release, but that's based on the Lionsgate deal and nothing else.

Rothfuss is gloriously notorious for missing deadlines XD

While disappointed to hear that, at least this "deadline" is purely based on supposition and not something he's like blogged about.
