Hello, UserSub! If you are reading this you are intrigued by the penguin and want to hear a story. Buckle up, kids. Here we go...

Quick story on how the fiancè and I met. First I was like this.

I was a Marine that got broke (physically, and kinda financially). Luckily, I had decided it was a good idea to be an IT guy while I was in and I decided to finish my schooling. My fiancè and I met at a LAN party and being the cocky SOB I was I hit on her along the above lines. She promptly responded with "Are you a troll?" For some reason that drove me wild cause no one had ever called me that before. I decided I must pursue this woman...

Then we were like this.

Through many shenanigans, our relationship deepened. We finished school, had fun, grew as a couple. Fell in love. However, where we were (small town America) we couldn't really get anywhere. I hated my job, she didn't make much above minimum wage... You see where I'm going with this? But, I got a once in a lifetime job offer that was double my wage and an awesome opportunity... But it was in the City. I feared that we would have to do the long distance thing though. But, being the amazing woman she is, she said "F**k it, let's go." We moved to the City, got our own place, and straight up were happy.

Then I was like this.

She decided she wanted to deal with my crap the rest of her life. The poor dear... Now we are engaged. Thinking up things for the wedding, saving money for a house. But suddenly, we had a thought... We ain't got any friends here.

Well, crap.

It's not that we don't have friends, we do. They're just in a different city (or country in my case, got a buddy in Kuwait). Hanging out with them regularly poses a problem.
