I Saved a dog today

I live in a small town in a mountain and I have to drive down the mountain through two other small towns before even reaching a highway to the city.. At the bottom of my first hill the speed changes from 50 to 25mph and the person in front of me was going 30 long before slowing down was needed.. Then swerved to avoid hitting this guy who was running around in the road freaked out.. I stopped to help and he ended up down the embankment into the creek.. His poor short pitty legs couldn't get him back up so I went down and got him.. Brought him home washed him and warmed him up then checked with my community to find his owner. They had already made a post on our local fb page with their number thankfully and he shall be reunited tonight at 6.. He's probably the sweetest dog I have ever met.. TL;DR saved a dog from the freezing creek in my small mountain town.. He's going home.. I feel good. *my good deed went viral so imma edit with the update* His loving owner called me on her way over and asked if I liked coffee.. She ended up giving me a $20 gift car to my favorite coffee place here in town to say thanks, she also saw on my fb profile (we are connected via the community page.. Bla bla small towns) that I used to be a nanny, she needs child care... So I may have a job here soon too..wish me luck! To those of you concerned about what kind of owner lets their dog get out.. She was at work and some one who was supposed to be in care of the dogs let them out to go potty and didn't monitor them and left them for hours outside.. That person won't be in care of the puppers any more.. She is a good dog owner and he was very happy to see her.
