This guy removed this rescued this massive beehive from a tree the local council had cut down
Fall video: https://youtu.be/_AA3Ej1Ev98
The council had cut down the tree because of a road expansion and place on the edge of a mine site.
Thankfully the operations manager of the mine decided to call a beekeeper not an exterminator.

sassort5
Those are honey bees :<
orangecicle
I was excited to see a fuzzy bee butt on the camera tbh
Saxon99
Is he doing that without gloves?
TheFastpaws
They get used to the stings so it doesn't bother them like us. Think the snake venom thing.

I think they have the sense to do that in public like any other self respecting woman with an exhibition fetish.

Good guy mine manager. +1!
Vernersen
So they were free-bees..?!
BraikingBoss
You always have the best bee videos!
Ulthirm
its illegal to exterminate bees here, licensed exterminators will end up calling keepers themselves too.
gremlinhearteddoeswater
Saviour of the fuzzy butts

I love watching your Dad and all the work everyone does on YouTube. It was your posts that got me there. Thank you!
KirsiKitten
Question, how do they do this, all the cutting and moving of parts of the hive, without squishing any bees? Do some get squished?
krissypoojackets
Bees are like, really important....and stuff.

I love that beekeepers are just like "BEES, HERE'S A SPECIAL BOX". And the bees are like "K, LEMME GO IN, YOU SEEM NICE."
Lifeisharddeathissoftlol
WITHOUT GLOVES!!! Holy shit what a champion!
GingerLaird
I can understand where he's coming from though. I don't like gloves because it feels weird to touch something and not actually feel it.
cuntsicle
He could have covered his hands with the material of the suit that covers his steel fucking balls.
magicbryanconnolly
Bees can sting through nitrile gloves. Anything heavier makes accidental bee deaths likely.
WoundedZetian
European honey bees are chill as hell. Killer bees have NO chill and are full of goose rage.
McJoligh
Well... not at all. They aren’t killers but they are not chill as hell. False move and you are fucked up as well, I can confirm. ?
prismbear
He probably knows bee-havior (omg I know) as the honeybees will die if they sting him. They seemed happily working away for a mass suicide.
Marno91
From what I understand, bees are not as aggressive when they are swarming . There still is some risk tho because they wear the suits
effarydi
These bees arent wearing suits.
CallMeMuppet
I am shit scared of bees and wasps and that, but I was around a beehive (honey farm?) last year and they don't give a fuck what you do 1/2
CallMeMuppet
most of the time. Took a while to not get freaked out when they kept landing on you but i never got stung.
invaderkong
Beekeepers are crazy. My great-grandfather kept bees and was deathly allergic. Would tend with old timey smoker and just the head net thing.
GirthBrookss
That just seems unwise.
invaderkong
He lived into his 90s and died a non bee related death....or that's what they tell us
GirthBrookss
And sometimes people live past 100 after smoking and eating like shit for their whole love, doesn’t mean they were smart to do those things.
DontWannaCloseMyEyesCauseIMissYouBabyAndIDontWannaMissAThang
But it is smart to have a good time...
TheToastyCat101
Bees react to smell of humans. They know who takes care of them, my grandfather never wore potection apart from head net. They are wonderful
Lifeisharddeathissoftlol
Yeah but these were random tree bees
MisterLemons
I'm guessing natural selection plays a heavy roll. Perhaps the specimens calmed by our scent lived to reproduce.

Must've had a lot of kids

The best "this man fucks" comment ever
NBbubblegum
Oh wait
StarryPlough
Can anyone explain why? I don't see how gloves would hinder him at all here
Amazora
The gloves really can be a hindrance at times. Covering the face is a must, as bees seem to naturally target the face first when pissy.
BigHubs
Most beekeepers I know stop wearing them eventually so they have better tactility when working. I havent gotten brave enough yet.
prismbear
Honeybees have to feel like their lives are threatened to sting, as they die immediately after stinging anything. They chose to keep working
StarryPlough
I didnt think they were aware they'd die from it.
dragoonwraith
It’s basically impossible to gauge “awareness” of another creature, but aware or not, evolution would encourage them to save the sting.
StarryPlough
That's not how evolution works. If an organism dies it literally cannot pass that information on. At best it would (...)
