All hand sewn as iron on don't stay on for long, seen these bands in concert, shame not all bands have patches as I have seen more than these. New one added this week Nekrogoblikon...... hoping to get a Skynd patch in November

Saw the Goblikunts back in May. Wicked show. Nice battle jacket, bub.

I had one of these as a 15 year old heavy metal fan. As an adult, I just ordered a jean jacket and I'm going to fill it with music and various forms of science and scifi geekery patches. Great job on yours!

I've seen Halestorm 3 times in concert and I'm looking forward to number 4 whenever that might be.

I first heard Jethro Tull early in the morning on acid. Shout out to the CEman on the old forums.

that's a rockin' Jethro Tull patch.

What an eclectic battle jacket.

That is fucking sick. My father named me after Ian Anderson because he loves them so much.

Yeah Halestorm!

lol I haven't seen them live so not on the jacket :) I would need several jackets if I added the bands I enjoy but not seen

Just design your own patches with the band's name on it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah might have to give that a go :)

I love it. Great jacket, and your taste in music is stellar! I have a shirt with that same Tull picture on it from when he came through town a number of years ago

Nekrogoblikon is a band I never knew I needed to listen to until I heard Powercore. Great Music, Fun music, and a Kick ass Mascot with his own talk show!

I hear they need a gimmick.

That is something to be proud of! Great job and thank you for sharing

Hell yeah Nekrogoblikon! Saw them recently for the Goblin Mode tour. John Goblikon actually sang all the clean vocals and absolutely killed it. Full costume, dancing his ass off. Great show.

Never heard of Nekrogoblikon before, but hell yeah! Nice addition to my music collection. Absolutely stunned by their Chop Suey cover version. Thanks!

I friggin LOVE Wolfmother. Andrew Stockdale is amazing. I've seen him a few times. My favorite is when his keyboardist/bass player gets into a power stance and fingers the bass with one hand and plays the keys with the other. Fun times.

Fucking excellent choice with Nekrogoblikon.

Imagine dragons? On a battle jacket? Really?

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Real metal heads don't do gatekeeping.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

off topic but I seen Imagine Dragons for 6$ forever ago. I herd 1 song and knew they would be huge one day.

Any tips for how to properly sew on a patch?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty much what has already been said, for me I found it easier if I brought the needle up through the jacket then down through the patch where the patch stitch first goes in as its already been punctured. But you find what feels right for you :)

Don't use traditional thread, use dental floss instead. Search online for colors

I thoroughly enjoy Tull and while I find them to be an odd choice for the centerpiece of a battle jacket it works.

I remember seeing a TV commercial for an upcoming Tull concert in the 70's in Toronto. The commercial always made it look like a blast with a giant beach ball rolling around the crowd. I didn't get my first album until the 80's but somehow I was already a fan.

Saw them in Toronto in the 90s!

Question: Is a leather vest an acceptable battle vest? I dont have motorcycles anymore and would like to re purpose it.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Absolutely :) go for it

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not at all. Remember, they beat Metallica at one point...

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That was the very first best metal album awarded by the Grammys.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

which was incredibly controversial and a widely panned choice at the time, clearly voted on by non listeners of heavy metal at the time. Even now 30 plus year later it was a strange choice

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but aqualung goes harder than anything metallica ever did

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pretty sweet centerpiece patch, I get it.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't you mean "Jeff Rotull"? Joking aside that's what I thought it was for about 20 years.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was brought up on Tull, they were the first band I saw in concert (seen several times since) the T-shirt it came from was beyond wearing so upcycled :) the only other one I was thinking of for the centre was Avatar (band not film or last air bender lol)

Hail the apocalypse.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Idk I have a D.R.I. center piece, but I'd swap that out for an Appa and Momo piece so fast.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Fun fact. The 72 Tull riot at Red Rocks caused the city to ban Rock concerts at that venue until like 1978. If you look up Red Rocks shows in the 70s it’s mostly campy music like Abba

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I mean now that you mention it an Avatar the Last Airbender jacket would be hella cool too
