Coopers, Hawk. and he did probably fly into your window as others here have stated. Accipiters like this guy get stressed easily and (1/3)

need to be taken care of by experienced rehabbers. Something else to note is that it is illegal to keep these guys yourself without (2/3)

a license in the US. Others have said call you local wildlife or raptor center for what you should do and this is the best option.

That's a cooper's hawk. And it will eat all of the birds in your yard.

If you have a bird feeder or bird bath, he is probably casing the joint. Unless you can see that it is injured, leave it be.

You don't feed it. Call your local wildlife service. You could put a plate of water out there, but it needs to be fed by those rehabbing it.
