PSA: I always drink water while getting sloshed. It pays dividends the next morning, plus shots burn less night of.
If I drank water as well as everything else I need to drink, I would end up in the loo all night
That's fine. I do too. It's gonna happen anyway.
Apollo42
I never wake up in the morning after I drink but I don't get a Hanover when I wake up
mmaatt8
I've never had a hangover. Then again, I've only drank twice
Imwaytoobadwithchoosingusernames
Am 20 can't confirm, I'm picture #2 already
blazebot4200
Just smoke a j and drink some water then eat some fried chicken. Works every time
DecapodianSaysWoopWoopWoopWoop
I'm 34 and I almost never get a bad hangover. Trick is to stay in shape, eat healthy food and do not social smoke.
doctorbees
Nah. Elite athletes can still get hangovers.
literallymike
You don't need to drink like you're in college if you're not in college.
rickmk
I always say to myself if you're naturally a confident happy outgoing person what do you need alcohol in the first place?
BaronSteggles
35 wasn't an issue. After 35 it became an issue. Definitely not worth the pain now
UnderstandsAnimeBetterThanLife
I used to drink like a fish. Am 31 now and the most I can handle is 3 drinks.
Cahine
Depends of the drink.
GlimpseOfCrabs
Learn to drink
BreakfastOfChampionsBacon
Fuck it drink all day every day no hangovers just blackout weeks
AhChooodle
I'm down
Poopypantaloon
Best strategy is to drink a lot all the time. Your might suck but you won't get hangovers, so.....
vincelassal
I've been getting awful hangovers since I was 18..
FabulousBadass
At 50 you just keep drinking. Can't be hungover if you don't stop.
HighFunctioningAlcoholic
Can't stop, won't stop.
UnfortunatelyImTheHighKingOfSkyrim
Am 27, can confirm. Used to be able to black out one night and wake up for work the next morning with no problem. No more...
HarryHamwallet
same, i used to drink and bang lines of coke all night with mild hangovers. Just thinking of doing that is giving me a hangover
poopieprincess
Am 35, can confirm. Used to be able to do that too, now I have 2 day hangovers...entire weekends are wasted.
Cataleast
If I want to be 100% functional on Monday, I can't go out on Saturday...
Heh, wasted.
Rantaf
Switch to weed then.
Spirtyscarfish
Can confirm. I feel way better sticking to weed.
Had my first two day hangover after this last New Year's. I had thought they were just playful exaggerations older people made.
gerdygerdygerdy
I never got a hangover but decided the slightly groggy sleepy feeling alcohol brings is just too much to handle more than once every couple
Months
thepurpletwitch
Yeahhh my hangovers went from bad headaches and a second of nausea to OH GOD I'M NOT MOVING FOR THREE DAYS. And I'm 23
OneCraftyHooker
It's the not moving that makes it worse, actually. You have to basically sweat or work the alcohol out.
kaptajnkaos
Work rate has no impact on the livers rate of metabolism of alcohol, and sweating doesn't remove anything either
SpeakingAsTheDevilsAdvocate
Inactivity makes you focus on the pain. Getting off your arse helps you ignore it. Plus, you tend to eat/drink more which helps.
About 10% is removed by sweating is what the internet says...
10% of what?
Alcohol
Str8Grizleh
Not you just keep dronking
This is perfect :)
I see you're already there.
werewolfmorgue
And the older you get, the longer they last
CommentBot3000
The older you get the more you drink
ninjadanny
And the older I get to more I'm ok with just keep drinking as a hangover cure, you can't get hungover if you're always drunk
Yeah they do... Had my first two day long hangover a year ago. I thought I was going to die
truebobby
Lol
"I-is this my life now? Am I stuck in perpetual hangover hell?"
Broman113
As a functioning to a point alcoholic I don't have that problem....
"to a point" being "manages to get out of bed... occasionally"? ;)
ralphie84
I'm almost 40, jack isn't that mean to me
Same experience. It's the fruity stuff that can kill you.
Note to self: don't go fruity
discollama
Definitely the sugar. Stay away from sugary mixers and liqueur, they're hangovers in a bottle.
NickyNoodlez
See i always just got real bad hangovers. So fuck everyone who didnt
Linanz
Same it was just the worst

At 21 I for sure got hangovers but I could shake that shit in no time with a good meal and a banana smoothie. It can take days now
somepersondoingsomethings
I always feel like crap the entire next day. Started to be not worth it. So now I never drink enough to get one.
SeriouslyFookOff
I either got really lucky or is that I always remember to eat and drink plenty of water while drinking. Never had a hangover.
mrhobbybob
Drink more water and less beer
My body can't handle more than 2 days in a row. There's just no way I can consume alcohol on day 3. And that's a 2-day hangover anyway.
mynameisnotalice
Me too. Only ones were I survived well was when I only drank high quality vodka or when I spent the night vomiting.
NotCreativeEnoughToThinkOfSomethingOriginal
Same here, homie.
ThySausagePrince
I'm an alcoholic at 35, I don't get hangovers cuz I drink nearly every day.
iamdanman
Gotta drink at least 12 ounces of water with every drink. I always drink at least 32 just in case
BigAZNMan
People forget that. I got downvoted to hell for suggesting that. I've never been hungover. I'm 28 though
Cutsforhugs
A big glass of water usually was enough for me, back when I still drank. The feeling of a slowly dying stomach was annoying though.
TheRoyalCatCuddler
Yes!! I was looking for this. Hangovers are caused by dehydration after all.
sirwolfyy
I drink 20oz of water to every 12 of beer and I still get nasty hangovers after like 4-5. Some of us just can't drink well. I'm 30...
DrunkenRhino
You might try an anti-diuretic to help you hold onto all that water. Salty foods, for instance.
Water, vato. Lots and lots of water. The less dehydrated you are before/after, the less it hurts. Avoid caffeine, too.
BumbumBummington
Curious as to why to avoid caffeine - before or after?
Both. It's a Diuretic. (It makes you piss) which is bad for holding onto water.
