Was he 'welcoming' one of Kelly's boyfriends?

This has always been one of the most misogynistic aspects about American parenthood. I find these jokes (which often aren't jokes) unbelievably distasteful.

Great opinion on the threatening father trope, but the GIF above was about Al trying to kill a mouse in his house. https://marriedwithchildren.fandom.com/wiki/Build_a_Better_Mousetrap
raiker333
I think this GIF is referring to rabbits, but Al being protective of Kelly on the show is a parody of "normal" 1980s/90s parent behavior. The joke is how dads look stupid when they try this, which contrasted parenting sitcoms of the era. To be misogynistic, the dad would have to be portrayed as a hero or the implication would have to be that this is normal acceptable behavior. A political cartoon can parody Donald Trump being misogynistic, but that doesn't make the cartoon misogynistic.

Rabbit in the backyard was destroying his garden, the garden he started to relive his stress

Oh geez, flashbacks to "Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!", one of the most read books in our household.

Oh yeah. Explosions, fire and water

That's a different episode. The GIF above is from "Build a Better Mousetrap." https://marriedwithchildren.fandom.com/wiki/Build_a_Better_Mousetrap

You were thinking of this episode - still Al with a shotgun, but different outfit and different long gun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8faRQgFQgw

Okay I better go watch the series again… just to be sure

There's no way his lips are saying "shame".
Snooj
That's a shame.
Nichomon
I think he says "Let's dance" he usually said that before doing stuff like this.
MisterValiant
Pretty sure it's "that's nice."
Spuncrusher
He is saying, "he's the deadest." Going to kill a mouse.
ChocolateCookieAndFudge
I think he says "spaghetti". Maybe he really likes spaghetti.

You have to report back on how it goes! I saw they were playing together and I’m pretty curious about what that concert is like

This is like the 3rd or 4th time I've seen this user get FP and then edit asking for money. My dude, I'm sorry for the dog if it's real, but there are too many damn scams out there for me to believe it.
Sensiblyinteresting
I'm gonna keep asking til the dog gets the surgery my dude. If I was more financially stable atm I would pay it myself, this is all I can do to help and the last few posts added a few $100 extra. It's not much but I'll make 10000 more posts about it if it helps Atlas. I was just visiting them a few weeks ago and seeing him try to limp around in pain as the cancer eats away his leg is gut wrenching.
StunttheRunt
I think their comment was due to the fact that the original unedited post was good meme pic but then once it gets traction and noticed you added the go fund me instead of simply starting with the go fund me attached, and that your post would have gone nowhere or been less likely to reach front page with it being a meme with go fund me as the original. That's all.
relsky
Exactly. If the goal is to help your friend, you start with that. If you are only asking for money after something gains traction.....
Sensiblyinteresting
Not sure if you know how links on posts work but if you put a link on a post even sauce it the algorithm here doesn't show it to as many people. Which is why most people leave sauce off and edit it on later or put it in the comments. I would rather wait for a post to get traction vs put it on every post and have people be sick of seeing it. If you don't want to see my posts you can mute me.
relsky
Okay dude. Have a good one. Wish you the best unless you're a scammer. Take care.
