This is the dream I had of heaven. Also, my dogs and my Dad were there (in that heaven).

Does anyone have the original without the stupid instagram tags?

This actually made me shed a tear. In this case not so much because he’s gone but because of the beauty of that thought

At first, I thought this is an unreachable level of utopian fantasy. And maybe most sports matches purposely ending in a draw is going too far but other than that, we could realistically achieve it

If we stopped belittling each other, stealing, hating, having wars, speeding, ignoring safety rules. Maybe we could have a day in which the biggest news is some sports team winning

Yea...
Even if it's just for one day. It would be amazing

Growing up without a dad, my dream was for him to be my dad.

Had a dad but, once I saw JP at 12.....always pictured him when I thought about God.

Saw this bit without the terrible music and the VHS filter I i find it i will post it. RIP Sam Neill

The "terrible music" is the Jurassic Park soundtrack, ya filthy animal!

Maybe let his words stand on their own. They are worth it.

i know and it would be okay if it wouldn't swallow this words here and there. what i actually wanted to say is that i find it terrible that someone took the original bit and layered some music and video filter on it for some fake internet points.

I have become intimately familiar with the reason why "May you live in interesting times" is considered a curse.
So, yes, I agree. That would be nice.

here it's an euphemism for troubles, but looking at it with fresh eyes you know times can be interesting with progress, opportunities, discoveries...

Speaking from Europe, I also know we live in the most peaceful era our continent has ever known. Then there were the Balkans. And now Ukraine. But each generation used to go to war, or war would come to them, for centuries.

This! I don't mean to be a revealer of horror, but these are (or were) the disinteresting times. This isn't horror. This is dread. Horror is yet to come.

I'm Norwegian, so I'm shielded from most of the mess going on, but I read the news and we've felt some of it. And even if we're not as affected as many other places, I still worry about what is going on.

It's only been massive since ~1800 though, for most of the time before that most people could largely ignore it unless they were the invaded. War was for the few most of the time.

Also it's only really true it's been peaceful if you ignore a bunch of things- lots of the Warsaw pact/Soviet states fighting or civil warring towards the end (serbia, slovakia etc.), crimea and georgian invasions by russia...

There has always been wars, and it's true that most of the time most of the world could distance itself from it.
But for me, the most disheartening thing has been to see the widespread return of fascism and outright nazis and their sympathizers.
My grandfather fought against those pricks and I never expected them to become "mainstream" again in my lifetime.

A world where life is good for everyone excludes the existence of the demented cheeto

No, what's good for trump is an early grave!

My life being good is in opposition to a lot of others loves being good. Trump, Billionaires, Zionists.
Their lives being good requires suffering.
Conservatives treat equality as oppression.

Conservatives care only about themselves. If they say anything different, it is self-serving, and not intended to be remembered!
