I never bought a copy for a console before today, and have been on a bit of a PS3 game collecting kick. Three dollars was worth the invesment for sure, but when I just opened the box at my house I found something way better.
They must have accidentally put the Legendary edition in the box!
I actually noticed the map right away cause of the weight of the case - nothing too crazy, but still really cool to find with a used copy. You can tell the map never left the case really though, neither did the original receipt.
From a preorder in 2011 for the full price of 59.99.

Skyrim has gone on sale on steam for 5 bucks heaps of times. Normally the edition with all the dlc has gone on sale for like 7 bucks.

Gamestop doesn't care about used versions in the sense of collector's discs vs normal. A disc is a disc for them. Source - I worked there.

It's that it comes with the three DLCs that makes it different. I mean it's actually valued higher at gamestop than original version.

Turn off all the auto save features. Manually remember to save old school. Game runs smooth as hell maybe 10 sec load screens.

Try Dragon's Dogma Darkness Arisen, one of the best Game mechanics that I enjoyed, for me its even better than Skyrim and DAI in terms of GP

The only thing I dislike about DD is how much health BBI 2nd run enemies have. Dragons ok, exploit crystal. Fat Zombos? Fucking meattanks.

I had a fun build where that didn't matter as much, warrior with max buffs when low on health. Minotaur execute did 4 dmg if i was in red.

Sad to inform, but that's like the worst version, PS3 Skyrim. The more you play, the more the save becomes unstable. Good luck.

Exactly what I was thinking as well. Most RPGS just ran terrible on the ps3 and had a bad habit of corrupting saves or crashing.

There was something about it being due to the PS3 restricting RAM between graphics/system, compared to the 360 which had no such restriction
