I always keep a spare door key in my wallet. Car has a chip key but I was able to get a chipless flat key made that works for the locks.

I had a POS car once where the ignition was screwed and I could take the key out while the car was on. It turned out to be a great feature.

Both cars i've owned did that. Most recent was a 2003 Saturn. Turn it on, pull the key out, let it warm up. Forget to put it back in...

It is a 2011 Escape. I really like that feature. A lot of the new ones are no key and just let you in when you get near it. Pretty nifty.

A key fob does not exist for this vehicle. The Key has to be in the trucks ignition switch to have the AC on...

My truck's key fob IS the key. It's integrated right into the head/bow.

Newer models are usually laser cut and getting a copy costs around $90 and has to be done at a dealership, and that's just for a basic key.

Well, they're not laser cut they're still cut like normal keys but there are interface chips that have to be programmed.
