DuckyBird101
I can hear the sound of the coins! That would make me crazy sorting through that much change with that.
TheTeddyGrahm
That's actually very cash money of you
BrightestNight
Found a use for my old medicine bottles, $10 in quarters fits perfectly.

If I had money, I’d need this.

I own this. Doesn't work as expected. If you have too many larger coins, it blocks smaller coins from dropping. Nice try, tho.

I could eat an entire bowl of cheerios with the number of times I have seen this reposted in the last two months.

Bold of you to assume i even have money
JaciuMCX

hokka4
Do you mean some people still use coins?
litgeek306
As a millennial, I mostly just collect them. But yes there are still people who dig for exact change.
Rosecline829
As a server... I so want one!
orangatuan
Knowing me i'd put the trays on the wrong order, the tiny coins would fall straight to the bottom and nothing else would get sorted.

not realistic - no buttons, subway tokens, or random pin-backs

Hah, you assume my random piles of coins are not all different currencies

You're welcome. We stayed up all night working on it.

Did the same. I have a huge pickle jar full of coins and to save time I might...MIGHT spend 10$. But I like looking at the dates too so idk.
I would find it easier to sort first. I look for different dates, like how only war nickels are silver, but quarters before 1965 are silver
mozgorejin
If only someone had made a machine to do this for us.
BottomShelfVodka
Yup.. except it keeps 10%

Jesus Christ, thank you. This is a complicated and manual solution for something we automated forever ago.

The one in my local branch (HSBC, UK) doesn't take a cut. Drops all the money direct into your account.
The ones in supermarkets/other do take 10% (or sometimes more) though. Some have the option of donating the money (less cut) to charity.
Yeah I think the one at my bank is like that, but only for members. The grocery store one takes a cut though.
Locke108
I'm pretty sure that's false. I'm no lawyer, but I think they legally can't do that.
why not? they're providing a service
I see it as trading currencies. They don't charge you if you want to break a $100 bill into smaller increments.
