As far as I'm aware, the carrier group that was patrolling near Iran is the one sent to seize oil-tankers and blast speedboats in Operation Southern Spear. Which is a pity, since having them near Iran might have given some weight to the talk about protecting Iranian protestors, instead of leaving them to be killed. The one heading to Iran now is the one that was stationed in the South China Sea, acting as a check to Chinese intentions towards Taiwan. I don't know what might have replaced it.
