I have never spoken out, but after comments directed at me recently, this is what I feel about the mindset of too many of us here.

So Leo finally wins a well deserved Oscar. Awesome! Good on you Leo!!

Cue imgurians posting their well wishes and congratulatory posts. Who cares if there are a lot of images about Leo? It's an image sharing site, and that is how we pay homage. Some are good, some not so, but that's not the point.

Then along comes this gem....

271 points. Not bad...but it deserves so much more.

And this user (not the original poster) knows that....reposts.....8000+ and counting.

I have erased all names because the OP (and I mean real OP) seemed cool with just being credited. But @imgur pls.....don't moan about not getting the OC you want, when people clearly credit someone else (even link to the post) and then you don't go and give that post some love too. Otherwise you may continue to find this site filled mainly with reposts and dumb novelty accounts.....
