Historically, at least in the US, increases in minimum wage have resulted in decreased inflation rates.

It won't fix the problem, but raising the minimum amount people can be paid is a rational response to your currency being worth less.

Except the problem of it being worth less is because of the government, and the rise is actually a real decrease because of inflation.

That's...more complicated. Historically in the US minimum wage increase is correlated with decreased inflation rate.

The relationship between min wage and inflation is non-linear. An increase of 5% for example may only cause an increase of 0.1%. 1/2.
