Meet my dog Rover, A labrador weighing in at 6 stone and 3 brain cells, who holds the record for most times climbed onto a table without the knowledge of how to get back down again. A 2 time winner of The Times 'dog with the most stereotypical name' and a silver medalist in 'Laying down in that one spot you want to walk through'. Favourite past times include destroying everything you love, eating toilet roll, and Barking at the moon because it looked at him funny.
Rover is far from the perfect dog, but he is our dog. He also has a pretty good Mlem.

I only have a half black lab (other half basenji). he likes to stretch with butt and tail up and plop down right in your way. Can confirm.

'Laying down in that one spot you want to walk through' Swear to god all labradors do this, mine is in the way all the bloody time

I honestly think they do it so they can rest, knowing that you can't go anywhere without them waking up.

Not only dogs, my fucking cat does this all the time

It seems that more bold and attention seeking dogs will do this. My Jack Russell will plop her fat ass down in the middle of the hall (1)

The ground will shake with his coming, the trees will quiver with the sound of his footsteps

And the masses will scream "Ewwww" as he eats his own poop
