This is Drew. Drew suffered an unfortunate injury in September of 2014 and was paralyzed as a result. Drew has made progress over the last year, become an artist, and has continued to be a great person and friend to us all. Drew made the decision to leave the US and relocate to the UK to be with his family and receive better care. Roughly three weeks ago Drew's power chair was mishandled and dropped by IcelandAir, and rendered unusable. Drew and his family allowed IcelandAir a 3 week window to remedy the situation, only to be offered 1,000 dollars to cover 1/20 the cost of a new chair. Drew's chair is his lifeline and his mode to paint and continue to see and experience the world around him. I'm making this post to draw more attention to this and get Drew the help he needs, and hopefully we can all share this and get it where it needs to go. Thanks for looking!
Drew's Chair
Drew's father has tried to draw attention to the injustice he is facing after IcelandAir offered him a 1,000 dollar settlement, but I think reddit could speed this along rather quickly.

A member of the FaceBook community accused Drew of using the images and his social media account as a means to commit insurance fraud.

Those pieces of shit better get that guy a new chair. It's akin to them running over someone's working legs with a baggage handler.

That is really shitty for a company to do, I hope this story ends well for him.

Disappointing, but I believe $1000 is the limit they have to cover unless you pay for additional coverage - just like shipping a package.

were just being careless and have fucked up this guy's shit. Permobil is a pretty decent company to deal with so maybe they could help too.
