thing is that vaccinating everyone who can be vaccinated also protects those that cant or where the vaccine doesnt work as well. immune compromised people from sickness or age cant be effectively vaccinated themselves, but everyone else being vaccinated protects them from the illness reaching them. if you allow dickheads to not do it you endanger way more people than just them

I got into a huge argument with a friend of a friend who stated vaccines being safe, fluoride in the water poisoning people, and COVID not being a conspiracy by Jews and the Chinese weren't extremely settled issues based in solid reporting and science undergoing strict peer review.
Sometimes I'm glad I don't have these conversations in person. I think I'd slap some people.

I have a kid on the way in June. There is a measles outbreak where I live. Children cannot get the vaccine until they are 6 months old and my parents are anti-vaccine.

If you (or mama if you're not mama) get a MMR booster and breastfeed (if you're able, of course, no pressure), it may help deliver strong antibodies to baby while they wait for their first vaccine.
Don't get it while pregnant, it is a live virus and not recommended for pregnant people. You can get it immediately after delivery, though.
