#11 Sheena Easton had an odd career launch. There was a short-lived TV series called 'The Big Time' in which they took some singer, actor, magician etc who'd been toiling on the club circuit for years but getting nowhere and gave them their 'big break' - makeover, promotion, record contract etc. Most had their 15 minutes of fame and disappeared again, but this 21 year old club from Scotland became huge.

I am conflicted. Bowie is always an up vote, but I hate Bette Middler. He song was played at my grandfather’s funeral. I hate it even more because of that.
