This was me many months ago. Was going through a rough patch and hadn't been taking care of my body for some time. See that scale in the bottom right corner? Thought it was an evil bitch.
34lbs down so far. I still have a ways to go but this was the first time in so long that I had the confidence to wear a skirt into public. Maybe it's silly to be so happy about that but I am.
TL;DR another usersub weight loss story
RayLynch

burritomm

digipedi

kittensittin
Where is your skirt from? I can never find a simple black skirt!
fightmehellen
H&M- it was only like $11 :)
mimomisu
I think I have got the same scale. I hate it too
idontwantagoodusername
That looks like alot more then 35 lbs
fightmehellen
Haha I guess that's good! I'm trying to keep up muscle as I go along so maybe that's a factor. Not sure!
idontwantagoodusername
Hmm idk

Grats @OP! I need to kick my butt and lose some weight, I'm the heaviest I've ever been, just hard to find the motivation.
fightmehellen
Thanks! I was at my heaviest point when I started- you can definitely do this! Good luck friend :)
Zlimeshili

BritishBatman

Lezio
How long? What did you do? Where's the picture with the same clothes as before? Don't leave us hanging OP!
fightmehellen
About 3 months! The biggest change was diet but I also started running and doing a bit of weight lifting half way through. I don't have a
fightmehellen
Picture in the same clothes yet so I guess that will be the next step :)

fightmehellen
I dropped weight most quickly in the beginning because of a dramatic diet change but I think running is what made it sustainable :)
helpim18whatshappening
Congrats @OP! I can empathize with how hard it would have been for you, and its great to see you looking healthy again!
fightmehellen
Thank you!! :)
wlfman
how tall are you? I'm trying to figure out how the before and after difference is only 34 lbs.
fightmehellen
5'5"
wlfman
gotcha, that's about what I'd expect
AppoJuice
Hey op, did I miss an explanation or how did you do it/how long did it take? I'm trying to drop 50 lbs and it's not easy.

Eat better. Add light cardio. Less carbs overall. Don't eat after 8pm. Way more water. BUILD ROUTINES. Track progress. Don't weigh daily.
fightmehellen
Basically that! ^ also I didn't add cardio until about a month in. Huge way to cut out calories is to cut out drinks and focus on water :)
BananaForScaIe
Don't drink your calories is a huge lesson!
AppoJuice
Seems simple enough when you put it that way. Thanks!
BananaForScaIe
I'm a fan of one new habit a week. They add up super fast. And don't take on a new habit til old one is IN.
InboxMeYourBelly
Gotta remake that first picture as exactly as possible for the true comparison @OP ;)
InboxMeYourBelly
(also, great job!)
PirateBot
Gotta remake that first picture as exactly as possible fer th' true comparison @OP ;)
BattleMercy
Confused why this correction was neded
demolitionlover09
Somebody made a pirate bot, it tries to replicate the comment how a pirate would say it. It could use some work.
BattleMercy
Quite so
mackrackorack
Personal question OP but how do you manage stretch marks? I can't seem to shift mine?
fightmehellen
I have been using aloe vera which seems to be helping a lot! Maybe that would work? Best of luck :)
CreativelyRandom
Aloe vera is a lil miracle gel I swear. I'm pastey white so I mainly use it to treat sunburns, but have used it on scars to help fade.
mackrackorack
Cheers, I will do, saves me the embarrassment of buying bio oil as a dude! Congrats by the way OP, keep it up :)
liveandletrawr
You can use other oils too like argan for example. I know some dudes using it for their beards as well
mackrackorack
I use argan for my beard so that could be a good shout, cheers!
GrassfedChicken
Just look slightly annoyed while shopping like you're picking it up for someone else.
mackrackorack
This isn't your first rodeo is it? Thanks for the tip!
boomboomk9000
Feel no shame; they use bio oil on actual scars too. Source: someone tried to murder my aunt
mackrackorack
Holy Christ, I hope she's okay! Perspective gained thanks @boomboomk9000
PinkSpongebob
I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those annoying kids and that dog too!
AnnaExMachina
If the marks are still red, and you're not pregnant or breastfeeding, you can use retinol.
mackrackorack
Would be hard for me to be pregnant or breastfeeding but I appreciate the advice :)
AnnaExMachina
You could be a very special lady!
mackrackorack
That is the dream ;)
