Sorry the bench I the picture makes it look smaller than it actually is, it's a good 19" wide, it's only for a small fishing boat

Sense you know it's a Danforth you may know if the shaft rotates back that far, will it be prevent the flukes from digging in and holding?

It could. Any more than 90 degrees and it is easy to drag anchor,esp. in silty / sandy bottom conditions. Both of my danforths rotate 45.

How much does it weigh?

Haven't had a chance to weigh it yet, but I'd estimate maybe 70 pounds, I used 3/8" stainless steel with a 7018 electrode to build it

Sorry 3/8" thick for the fins, 1/4" for the rest of it, yeah the photo doesn't do it justice :)

That sounds really cool, this was assigned as are design in class so I couldn't do much to make it my own, wish I could have made it fold up
