I feel like we could actually have a number of studies rolled out on the necessity and benefits of proper aftercare and the lessons the kink community has learned could be formalized and generalized to many other areas of life. And if I could turn back time to when I was young and on the kink scene, that would have been a badass tattoo.
Girl, a dom should only do to you what you are actually comfortable with and aftercare is a must. If they don't they are a shitty dom. If you are worried about violence in play tell them you don't want that and establish scenes/methods you are comfortable with. If you are worried your partner will get actually violent because you want to sub more, you should ask them if they'd be interested in domming you more instead of stating your desire to sub directly. If they get angry, leave.
Hah, I wish I knew a switch like that. I love domming but also want to occasionally hand over control to another person I trust affectionately. Having a sub I could order/ask to do things to me would be awesome cause I'd still feel like I'm domming them while subbing, tell them "good boy/girl" to remind them of it. In a situationship with another dom leaning switch and our pride/ego won't let us be anything less than 50/50. The constant power struggle is pretty hot and peak switch shenanigans.
I think it is pretty hard to preserve pure domme in a transwoman because of hormone shenanigans. Before I started HRT I would have never even considered subbing but after being on it for a while it feels like a special treat for satisfying my sub where they show me how good it felt to be them. It feels good experiencing it and it is like a highlight reel of what my sub enjoyed the most from what we did together so I know what to do more of next time. I can't imagine not wanting it now.
I've never felt switchy or dommy, even before HRT. But who knows. If I am close enough emotionally, and feel safe enough, maybe I could try it. But as of now, every time anyone has asked me to domme dem in any capacity I have just frozen and felt uncomfortable about it. Which they ultimately respect of course. But it's nice to get tested on it once in a while, just to see if anything changed.
The requirements you list to possibly try domming are the same requirements I have for subbing. Do you normally freeze in a fight or flight scenario? Freezing is typically a first response in which you evaluate things before performing the other options of fight or flight. I tend to immediately have fight responses though I do freeze first sometimes. I think freezing is a good indicator that you have the capacity to switch with secondary responses showing which way you lean naturally.
I'm trans and a switch with a natural inclination towards dom, it's pretty tragic that most girlies want it all one way. I usually take charge in everything in my life and love doing it, but it can be super draining especially when trying to please everyone at once. Sometimes it is just nice to let someone else lead and enjoy it.
If any sub isn't comfortable leaving their role or power dynamics in general for whatever reason they absolutely shouldn't be pressured into it. If a natural sub and their dom are ok with open or poly for stuff outside of the other's comfort zone that is awesome! That is a very healthy compromise if both are ok with it. There is nothing wrong with being who you are, I am so sorry if any subs took it that way! Natural subs are a treasure, and I hope you all get a dom to put you in your place!
This also applies for forever DMs in Tabletops(pls help), we'd like to be players occasionally too but nobody steps up to let us. So you'll have DMs invite other DMs to be players to help. This probably also happens with most would-be Domme GFs. Instead of being exclusively Domme for Subs we end up together as switches because it meets our personal needs better.
I am a natural sub, it's not that I "want it all one way" it's that I just am that way. I've been offered money to domme, and nah, can't do it. Sorry. Just not in my nature. Feels very uncomfortable.
Being a natural sub is perfectly fine. Nobody should make you leave that comfort zone. Life can be exhausting but I still want some play when I'm tired from it all, I am sure many doms would love to support your needs if they weren't worn down by life. I would absolutely love to put several girlies in their place if I had the time and energy, but I don't even have enough to fully commit to one currently.
Life is hard these days. I completely see why you might not have energy. I hope you find peace and your safe space to just be you, and not feel the pressure of life.

I mean, it's kinda simple. Big one likes to be in charge, little one also likes the big one to be in charge. Both characters are transgender.
KerryCoder
Do you have one for a subby trans gf and a dommy cis gf?
Mostlydeadpool
head pats are the bestest. it's true.
DonnayWinter
My not-girlfriend girlfriend loves head scritches. She's not on this planet when I provide some :D
Mostlydeadpool
head pat are one thing, but head SCRITCHES are indeed a portal to another world. a lovely world.
pgdave
Head scritches absolutely make me exit this universe and reside in a plane of pure existence and pleasure.

Honestly is this not part of the fun? Who has a bottom and doesn't want to support them?

I can't stress this enough to any aspiring doms out there, "aftercare is part of the scene"
Cosmicbacklash
I sometimes think “Aftercare isn’t a kink, but a must” would be a good tattoo for a Dom to have to have 😂

I'm not actually a Domme, I'm just afraid they'll hurt me if I'm ever submissive

Where do I find these Domme Trans GF's for my Subby Trans self?
AnbaricDragon
Someone want head scritches?
FancypantsMcGill
Yes pweese

And head pats, and back rubs...

I really love head scratches, and some hair pulling. and some back rubs, and headpats. and I've zoned out into subspace already

They get snatched off the market pretty instantly. High demand and low supply.
ButtblasterMcAssmaster
I fear they might be a myth. Every trans girl I know is subby as hell.
FancypantsMcGill
I know trans girls that are switchy, with a stong domme side. But so far I havent found the one for me.
I have yet to find a straight domme though.
FancypantsMcGill
I feel like this needs context. I meant straight domme as in "domme only". :D

Completely get that. I am not opposed to switches, as long a they don't expect me to switch. if they have a dom/domme of their own, that's a-okay

I don't think we can reasonably expect any one person to completely fulfill your needs. Especially not if they are as specialized as ours.
