Time to unfollow a douch

Rogan waited until the last second to endorse Trump to avoid losing listeners whilst latching his lips onto to the big orange tuchas.

Cowardice and greed in action.

Joe Rogan, hero of the stupid

2 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 7

It’s too bad, he used to just be fun. Sure, kinda dumb, but a jester is a clown….. I think he sold to the Trump side because he wants access to everything the government knows about aliens…. If they’re really real.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Back in 2016 or so when I listened to the podcast he was nothing but a vehicle for people to come talk about their field and experiences. He didn't have any strong opinions on anything and let people talk. At least then you could make up your own mind. All went downhill when he started having opinions and talking back. (even worse when half the guests started being stand-up comedians)

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah. It’s too bad. I’ve never really found a replacement for it after all these years. I liked the mix of artists scientists, doctors and funny people.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was a really nice variety that felt like it gave you insight to parts of life you had no idea existed. I think Joe started talking back and being more critical after a few of his guests turned out to be fradulent. Made him look stupid for taking their words at face value. Ironically being more "critical" ended up showing us how stupid he really was. Then he became huge and influential and now he's a sellout playing the rich man game.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How is this even surprising ? The guys a lickspittle AND a moron....that's the definition of Trump voters.

Joe Rogan is just Gwyneth Paltrow for dudebros

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wonder how his daughters feel about this

I am pretty sure most Joe rogan fans were already voting for Trump. Also, didn't Joe already endorse RFK? No double endorsements!

I figured that 3 hour glaze session already counted.

He also endorsed RFK Jr., but quickly took it back when his base attacked him.

So Trump is his forced second choice.

If he hadn't lucked out with News Radio, he would be that weird 57 year old guy living in his parents' basement.

Did literally everybody forget Fear Factor? I honestly had no idea he was on News Radio. Fear Factor would have been a show that I would happily have gone on, but for two things. 1. Eating Weird Stuff. I don't care, cover me in bugs or snakes or whatever. Don't make me eat Weird Stuff. 2. Joe Rogan.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

True. What's worse is he and Joe are actually pretty funny on the show. It's a great cast overall and most of them didn't turn out be bed dicks.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Joe seems to essentially be his character from the show except not fun/funny and people take him seriously for some reason

I don’t think this is going to sway the people who were very likely going to vote for him anyway.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 4

Right, anyone who was likely to listen to his endorsement either way is already of the personality type to vote trump

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A joke from a simpler time, when Rogan was just stupid rather than actively malicious:

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

not sure that's accurate, I mean top Spotify account with some 14M followers, 16M on YouTube, 18M on instagram. Literally 5.5B views on his YouTube channel alone; hate the man but calling him irrelevant is a stretch, especially when he was voting for Bernie during the 2016 presidential democratic primaries

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

I think it's because Rogan endorsing Trump is as surprising as Trump Jr. endorsing Trump. Most of Joe's listeners are wanna-be alpha dudes who are already voting for Trump.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

He's the men's version of Oprah. One gets similar results if they are foolish enough to follow him. Also, we're in the middle of a great political shift where different factions of people switch sides. It sucks Trump is around and I hope he loses but not surprised at this point when I see people switch sides.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

99% sure Rogan said he voted for Gary Johnson in 2016 on a podcast with Bill Burr.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Absolutely no doubt whatsoever. Rogan is a complete conspiracy theorist. He thinks he's smarter than everyone else.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

There used to be that pretence of neutrality. It's just totally concidental that he platforms rightwing conspiracy nuts most of the time, which probably hardly anyone really believed anyway. So it's mask-off time, like for so many other people.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

During his interview with trump you could see him realise trump is dumb and crazy. Apparently conservatives dont see that as deal breakers though

nope

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He’s a bootlicker, so no.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

What's crazy is that he liked Bernie when he had him on years ago and agreed and even shared his policies with other people. Also UBI when he had Andrew Yang. but he has a short memory and it's easy to push him to either side

Pascal's wager only makes sense if you forget to consider the possibility of any other religion being the right answer. Odds of getting it right are considerably slimmer then.

The point is that despite the lowest probability, the potential payoff is immeasurable and so is the potential loss. It's taking the safe bet, supposedly. Fuck that tho. God can suck it. This world itself is the world-tribunal. Seek justice and be good here.

Dude made his living in a blood sport, whose surprised of the lengths he's willing to go to? I'm tired of people not realizing he's always been an opportunist. But he can be entertaining.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same thing

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I don't think you understand what a Nazi is

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

One thing you can honestly say about Rogan is that he's just an idiot. He's not motivated enough to be a Nazi. He does his show and basically just chills with whoever comes in and sits down. Lots of shitty people come in and sit down, but that's more because he's basically free publicity than Rogan actually agreeing with them on a deep intellectual basis.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Butt he still has got a huge following. She should've gone on the show. Now he spoke to Trump, Vance, en Musk. She didn't show up. I know there's a busy schedule, but this might be an important one

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 10

A huge following of idiots. Joe Rogan lies and spreads misinformation, his show is not about truth or facts but opinions. Why would a reputable person like Kamala go on such a show when she has nothing to gain and can only lose by doing so? Idiots will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. It says a lot about people from the company that they keep.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Yeah it's all opinions. So what. If it was about the facts she would win by a landslide. She could've answered questions, got her story out. A no show is automatic defeat. Maybe some followers didn't know yet who to vote for. Now they heard 2 people from one party, none from the other.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Idiots still vote. And being idiots, they probably prefer to vote for people they've seen with their own eyes. Plus, would Harris realistically lose *any* votes by going on Rogan? Would there be anybody who would be swayed away from her from her going on "shady-mega-popular guy's" podcast? Would it have lost her your vote? For real, the "idiot" vote is probably the one her campaign is most lacking, so it seems like a real missed opportunity.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

She made the offer, but Joe Rogan turned her down.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So brave...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also he's a right-wing pundit, so...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now He can keep his MAGA crowd of viewers, who he's increased his popularity with, but not endanger himself cause once Harris wins he can just harp on her and everyone will agree with him. But she obviously won't be as vindictive as the orange cheeto if he wins, and Joe DIDNT endorse him.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And as long as that remains true, they WILL win eventually...

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So maybe just don't endorse anyone?

2 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

He already had Trump on his show the other week, so an endorsement was inevitable.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The thing is, he really made Trump look stupid and showed up his 2020 "Stop the Steal" lie as a lie by simply asking to see the proof.

Trump kept talking about how great the evidence was, and Rogan just kept nicely asking if he could see it.
Which was the worst response from Trumps perspective as he couldn't use his usual dodge of "getting offended" and attacking the interviewer, calling them a nasty person.

"Spread bullshit" Yeah that's definitely why millions listen to his podcast regularly instead of spending the time reading imgurians political posts.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Yeah, same reason people are voting for Trump, misinformation is easier than facts.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I imagine they were still under negotiations on what price Rogan wanted to make the endorsement. I don't see him doing anything for free. He may have also been waiting for the check to clear.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He’s also extremely butthurt about her going on SNL while not going on his podcast. Even tweeted about it. He’s got Cheeto nose.

2 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

Where's that tweet?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not like her going on his podcast would save her image to him. He'd spend the following episode saying that she was wearing a wire that people were feeding answers to her the entire time. Right after her debate with Trump he was talking about how she only "won" because she was "being controlled."

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Didnt he get an hour of VP time and decided that wasn't enough so just called the whole thing off unless she came to his studio?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How did this industrial grade douchebag get so many followers? He was never really famous or anything. Hell, the only thing I can remember him from is Newradio, one of my favorite shows by the way, but even in that his character was easily forgotten.

2 years ago | Likes 176 Dislikes 17

How'd he get famous? Because he has all sorts of people on his podcast and just let them speak. None of this political gotcha stuff the media does.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

I was an early watcher of his podcast. It was him and his friends telling great jokes, smoking pot, getting drunk. It was a fun escape because it was nothing serious. Then, pow, a hard right turn out of seemingly nowhere. I’ve heard some of his friends surmise that he has brain damage from MMA training. Maybe that’s the answer. But I don’t watch him anymore anyway.

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

The hard right turn started during COVID when he was peddling Ivermectin as a cure.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember watching an episode where he had a pro League of Legends player on and seeing his pure fascination with it all was pretty fun. I never became a regular watcher but seeing what he ended up doing later on was quite the whiplash given what I remembered from before.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think he has drifted more and more into conspiracy territory because of the people he spends time with. I can imagine smoking weed and discussing conspiracies is a great way to become paranoid. I'm pretty sure he used to be against Trump so this endorsement is a more recent development. Probably due to his near circle being very pro-Trump.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's the other thing, the man will believe anything that comes out of the mouth of someone who sounds smart to him. Ben Shapiro comes on the show, speaks a million words a minute and Joe thinks it's a sign of intelligence and believes every word he says. So as long as you sound articulate but talk about how the Government used alien technology to create Black Lives Matter Joe Rogan would believe it 100%.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mma is full of trump voters. Dana white spoke at one of trumps rallys. Bunch of brain dead chimps.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's really terrifying. The most popular podcast in the US (world?) now supports a Nazi. Which makes him a Nazi. Which means he has a Nazi podcast and everyone who listens to him is also a Nazi. We're talking about tens upon tens of millions of incognito Nazis in the US. And what's even worse most of these Nazis look just like normal people. I mean, I want to punch my elderly Nazi neighbor (he has a 2A sticker on his car), but I don't want to get shot (plus I don't own a gun).

2 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 9

His podcast was pretty good...not because of him but because he got some great guests who would generally carry the show while he'd ask them about doing drugs. Then he started getting guests that should never have been given the time of day and he took them more serious than the people that were generally good for the show.....

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did literally everybody forget Fear Factor? I honestly had no idea he was on News Radio. Fear Factor would have been a show that I would happily have gone on, but for two things. 1. Yea, when a friend if mine recommended his podcast to me many many years ago, I watched a video clip for a while before asking my friend "isn't this the guy from fear factor?"

Fear Factor host, and he’s an old head MMA guy since he’s been a part of the UFC forever now. I know he’s also done standup comedy, but I’ve no idea if that was before or after he was already pretty famous for being the UFC PPV broadcaster or not.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't remember him for ever being over the top famous, but I saw him everywhere. I first saw him on The Man Show, then standup, then Fear Factor, then UFC, and after that he just seemed to pop up randomly everywhere I looked

Yes-men are a thing. When you fire all the people who disagree with you, you end up with a echo chamber of people who will repeat and agree with anything you say. As such there is no to keep you in check.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Firing people that disagree with you only happens if you have a fragile ego. It’s also the entire point of the fable.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

His comedy wasn't funny, his acting wasn't good. But he was an MMA super fan who loved talking about being high. Which I guess is all it takes? Who knows.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He wasn't movie star famous, but if you were into MMA, he used to be a big name there.

I uses to listen to his podcast. Found him by searching for interviews with Brian Cox, and I thought "wow. Great podcast. Let's see who else he has on" and he had Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Steve-O, actors, comedians. Lots of great guests with interesting stories and good relaxed conversations and questions. Then I saw an episode with Alex Jones and went "wtf? To make fun of him?" But nope, he took Jones seriously.

2 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

I mean, NDGT is a piece of shit, so him being on a show is maybe not the endorsement you might think it is.

I know he's a bit too full of himself at times, but that's about all I've heard on him. I haven't heard much recently.

He's condescending, sure. But compared to the others on his show he's actually not bad at all. Compare Neil's podcast with InfoWars and you'll see how wrong you are.
