Oh deer

I see a deer stumbling around like that and my first thought is CWD...not drunkenness.

They're not telling the deer to stop, they're just saying be careful of them.

The deer would do well to beware of the French Drivers who've been consuming fermented grapes...

Depends if it's a roe deer as pictured (average weight ~25kg/55lb) or a red deer (average weight ~200kg/440lb). One can give you a few bruises, the other you can be in a car crash with you, and win.

They are not "drunk", they are drunk, as simple as that. Fermented fruits turn to alcohol. There's the same problem with mooses in Canada, they eat fermented fruits and get drunk and cause massive damage, because have you seen the size of a moose?!?

"Why would it fly into the garage?" "Um, possibly because it flew under the influence of alcohol". This is peak deadpan comedy (perhaps because I am typing this under the influence of alcohol, might not own it later)

We could be animals living in the forest getting drunk from fruit, but no we had to go and fucking invent computers and clocks

Life expectancy at birth for hunter gatherers as best as we can measure is about 30 years, with about half of children dying before reaching adulthood. Don't idolize the State of Nature too much.
