It depends on how hot the engine gets. How cold the engine gets. And other things. This is just the temp
The numbers on an oil bottle (like 5W-30) represent its viscosity rating based on temperature. The "W" stands for winter.
The First Number (Cold Flow): This indicates how well the oil flows at startup in freezing temperatures. A 0W or 5W flows easily in the bitter cold, preventing dry starts.
