Clearly that's a Tip-Qube

It would be awesome to have that amount of focus from a single caff pill. Geeze, it mostly just gets me out of bed. Until I have to take another when I try and crawl back into bed.

That is a top tier grundle cleaner right there.

I’m playing way to much Starfield

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

totally looks like one of the alien ship building blocks from Super 8

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would warn not to stick that in your ear, but we all know no one heeds that warning.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This. THIS is the ADHD metaphor I’ve needed for explaining to others why I cannot just “drink coffee to focus”. *Focus* and *desired productivity outcome* are two entirely different things.

"I snorted my Adderall..."

Resistance is soft.

You probably have ADHD and should see a doctor.

I hate that the only thing caffeine gives me is anxiety

Qube

1 year ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

That's also the title of a little cubey indie game. No qtips in it though

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That was adderall

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

how does one even start that. layers of 4?

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I would start by weaving the bottom-most flat layer -- lay out all the warps, then do two or three wefts, spaced widely enough for the uprights. Then place one or two rows of uprights and slide the weft qtips up against them to hold them in place. Then proceed to finish the bottom layer, uprights, weft qtip, uprights, weft qtip, etc. With the bottom layer in place and the uprights, you can proceed to weave in the rest.

are you typing with a speech impediment?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure if you're joking... but in case you're not, I'm guessing that the reference is to "weft?" In weaving, the vertical members are called "warp" and the horizontal members -- the ones that actuall weave over and under and over and under -- are called "weft."

took a few caffeine pills and ended up taking a nap. I'm immune

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Your body probably compensated for the caffeine by regulating against it. That is common with regular caffeine consumers.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nah, that's common ADHD, caffeine calms you down.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

How many Qtips do you need to make one and no I’m not counting.

Stickle bricks

Stickle bricks were amazing!

For your 4th-dimensional ears.

ok but i want one

1 year ago | Likes 272 Dislikes 0

In your ear.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too. Where do I get these pills?

1 year ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Same

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This is how they should be sold in the stores.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I... I have both a bottle of caffeine pills and a box of q tips in my bathroom. Oh no...

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Give me $30 and I'll make you one. Not even kidding lol.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a cup of coffee

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but 500 capsules takes up a lot less space in your stomach than 500 cups of coffee. /S

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You just need like 300 cotton swabs & apparently an hour

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

But..how?!? I literally tried this and it was a mess. There has to be some sort of starting structure and then you just build off of it but man I CANNOT figure it out.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh sorry you need some rubber bands, https://youtu.be/LRG7-yD4OtI?si=Ls9_2lu-kIZVFrve

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How does that sell on ebay these days?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not so sure that was a caffeine pill. Or we just have very different experiences of caffeine.

1 year ago | Likes 209 Dislikes 0

Yeeeeeah... FFS, it's caffeine, not meth.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not caffeine? Terrible! Who would sell such a thing, hypothetically?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably some hypothetical dude named Brad selling out of a frat house. If I had to guess.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm thinking it was a Ritalin

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

First thought was, oh no, they have ADHD and took a caffeine pill...

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Caffeine makes me sleepy... I want her kind of caffeine.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I would give ANYTHING to not get nauseatingly wired with a migraine if I have caffeine

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd bet they have ADHD

1 year ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 2

Or they did this for the sake of making a fun post about it.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ADHDer here, came here to say exactly this. Carry on.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What the post described sounded more like what people without adhd experience when they take adhd medicines.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have it. I live on caffeine. I would never be able to sit still doing that.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ADHD here. Caffeine affects us weird. Either: absolutely zero affect, or same as anyone else, or exact opposite as everyone else. I for example used to drink Mt. Dew if I couldn’t sleep because they knock me out hard better than RedBull.

1 year ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

This is what I understand to be the case for most ADHD people with caffeine. What the post described sounded more like what people without adhd experience when they take adhd medicines.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I take stimulants for Narcolepsy, but a Psychiatrist my insurance once sent me to told me she sometimes prescribed low doses of Adderall to ADHD patients for sleep. Apparently they had issues with their mind running nonstop, so the medicine helped them filter the noise out and relax. Caffeine is still a stimulant, so I suppose the reaction to it may be related.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's most probably an effect of consuming a lot of caffeine regularly, rather than ADHD. The body adapts and starts to compensate the effect when it detects caffeine. That's why many regular caffeine consumers experience getting sleepy instead of waking up at certain dosages.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 20

Nope. The “hyperactivity” part of ADHD comes from an imbalance of neurotransmitter agonists and antagonists, notably including adenosine and dopamine.

Caffeine actually stimulates by blocking adenosine and increasing dopamine. In ADHD brains, though, that puts the balance back closer to neurotypical brains, so we get a nice focused calm you’d call “normal”.

Now, we do have the habit of crazy-stimulated thought, so “normal calm” is kinda like being dead tired for us… so we sleep.

I do have ADHD and Caffeine mostly gives me cold sweat, anxiety, nervosity and makes me unable to get any shit sorted out the rest of the day.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

ADHD. Don't consume caffeine if you have ADHD and you have something in mind that you want to get done. Something will get done, but you may not have a say on what it will be.

1 year ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

Same with cocaine. Source: I have ADHD and tried cocaine. Several somethings got done.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

AuDHD here, I need caffiene to even pay attention..
Not sure how much it would take to build the above.

Could be the fact I was on Ritalin for my entire scholastic life.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I haven't made good experience with medication like Ritalin and i always rejected it. As for caffeine, i pretty much have zero tolerance. One cup of tea a day is nice. Not going to get much shit done, but nice. 2 cups is anxiety. A cup of coffee and you can say goodbye to the day. See you tomorrow, when i'm maybe ready to act like a human again.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ritalin "cured" my ADHD but did nothing to fix my executive function. As a bonus, I was intensely depressed for 3-4 months after stopping. Adderall, however, is h*cking amazing.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I drink 2 energy drink a day to have enough focus to get what I need done, and even then it rarely happens

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I uh - vyvance + coffee + pre workout for the morning for me. Would not recommend, but it works. Terrible for my health though
