1/2 Fleas carry plague. And prairie dogs are more vectors than tree squirrels. And squirrels rarely if ever carry rabies.
I worked wildlife rescue & rehab. Squirrels and rabbits were never rabies concerns, and that’s where our worst bites came from.
they do, however a squirrel being ballsy enough to go into an occupied house is a redflag in my book. also i mainly mention plague to 1/2
