They have name recognition and can get in the news any time they want just by announcing some new bogosity. They also have a list of donors who are more likely to pay for someone they know than someone they don't. Blaming it on "young people don't vote" is totally missing the point.
Then we need to make it mandatory and super easy to vote. Give everyone IDs for free, then require that ID at any of the convenient voting locations at the various, numerous, government buildings that all probably have underutilized space allowing for voting stations to be set up for the national voting holiday.
Washington State has universal mail-in ballots, everyone registered to vote just automatically gets mailed a ballot and has a long ass time to fill it out and send it back. It raised the 18-29 turnout to 55%, but also raised the 65+ turnout to like 80%. Even when voting requires literally zero effort, young people still have much lower turnout.
