We like our morning cat greetings, but we also like to keep the door closed. Can’t have both..
So we came up with a solution! Pretty snazzy, eh?

Edit: huh, front page! Okay. Well it seems many of you aren’t watching the gif. It has a door built in.
Also, this came about when we extended the wall by a foot for the bathroom we added. There was a hole we had to fill and we decided to make a doorway with a sliding wood door. Our house was built in the 1930s and still requires so much work, we wanted to have some fun with it.

We extended the wall for the bathroom we put in and had a floor to ceiling hole to fill cuz of it. So we left a small opening.

Doors: hard to find exact replacements - usually glossier, shows imperfections - expensive to replace - need to be more rugged.

It is. The floor trim is original, we decided to keep it. That trim, and the door trim, is all new.

Actually, this wall can very easily be filled by removing the trim and drywalling. We BUILT the wall it’s attached to.

They sell doors made entirely of cats. They use the whole animal. Skin, fur, bones, eyes... any size from bedroom to garage door size.
